About Yennefer - I've heard from somewhere that when Geralt was almost killed (pitchfork, yes ;D), she used her powers to transfer him and herself into a phantom realm to keep him alive.

This is untrue. Ciri used her powers (with little help from unicorn Ihuarraquax) to transfer Geralt, Yen and herself into avalon.

As I've said, I've heard that info from someone (don't remember who exactly). I've read only The Last Wish and The Sword Of Destiny. Started reading "The Elven Blood" but abandoned it. So I haven't read the story to the end, yes.

Only the first book has been published in English so far, and only in the UK so far (the US release is in May). See:http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/Witcher_series#Translations
