Same thing with 1.08, all the NPCs are invisible. Another patch, another reinstall.

Nope, just user.settings tweaks. But i always generate a new one after a patch just to be sure that everything in that is compatible. And it's the only file i've set as read-only.

I don't know what's wrong. This time i made user.settings editable before updating to 1.08.2, but the same problem rears its head yet again.

Noticed that lots of bugs and issues are often resolved by a reinstall. Their patching system seems unreliable

It used to, but not this time. 1.08.2 is completely game-breaking for me. I've done 5 reinstalls this evening
