Geralt trips and rolls when attempting to walk down certain sets stairs

When trying to walk or run down many of the outdoor wooden staircases, Geralt seems to trip up and then roll down. One example of this is the stairs outside the Passiflora in Novigrad shown in the video:

I have seen the same problem with many other wooden staircases in the world.

This is probably the thing I find most annoying in the game, even more so than the occasional bugged/uncompleteable quest, finding myself in the middle of a battle with bandits who have just popped into existance in front of my face, and Geralt sometimes refusing to draw his sword and trying to fist-fight a flock of harpies (I actually managed to win that one!)

The number of times Geralt does this on stairs, uneven ground, over a chair... it gets a bit ridiculous at times. Likewise getting stuck because there's a small tree branch on the ground, or a rock, and having to jump over it (often followed by a trip and roll...)

I've noticed that manually running (not sprinting) down the stairs seems to stop it happening, but leaving it on auto-run makes it worse. YMMV.

Still love the game though!

The tripping thing happens occasionally moving at any speed. I think it's quite amusing when he does it at a "walk". (Just strolling along...doo-dee-dum-dee-doo -- OH MY GOD - *FLIP* - *THUD* - "AAAaaauuuGH!" -- stands up...all good here...dum-dee-doo-dee-dum...)

If combat doesn't auto-trigger, press "1" to draw the steel sword, "2" to draw your silver blade... Or just beat down the harpies fisticuffs. Whatever floats your pickle.

Yeah, it can be a real slapstick moment. It does happen too often though, in places where it really shouldn't.

Trouble with drawing the swords manually is that almost every time I try that to preempt them not being auto-drawn, the computer will auto-draw them at the very moment I press the key, so Geralt draws them, and immediately puts them away again. That happened so often that I gave up trying. We really need either an option to turn off auto-draw, or a 'fix' that ignores a manual resheath too close to an auto-draw.

Still, there are worse things in life. Like Geralt's half-hour delay when trying to get a surprise siren off his boat. OK, slight exaggeration, but it feels that long when there are three of them that didn't show up until they surfaced and suddenly started ripping the boat apart. The sea can be a dangerous place!
