Those are professional chainmails.

See how belt curving the chainmail? They were not nearly as tight as latex suit. Not to mention you need to wear special cloth beneath them.

Did you notice that those clothes haven't any closure System and they must be weared calculating shoulder's size?

Did you notice that Geralt's armor has side closure system with leather plates allowing him to adjust the piece to his waist?

Did you notice that you can see the tits of those men under their chainmail and underwear?

perhaps here there's some confusing between corset with sash, a cloth piece often used in middle age.

That's not explaining how can he fit gambeson underneath it and still look like shepard in his suit.

But all I say is how much of us know which study and parameters CDPR's devs based this design? How can anyone say that they wrong or unrealistic (we are talking about CDPR creators of TW's series)?

One think if one dislike the new style, but there's any deformation in Geralt's body. Optical effects by camera angle?, wierd armor?, unexpecte style?.. SURE! Anatomical errors? NO.

Or you're telling that suddelnly CDPR've forgotten how Geralt's body is? THAT sounds nosense

It was noticeable enough that all of us came to this thread to comment on it - it also looks like it's a new rig for Geralt, and I don't think it's done. I also think CDPR are big boys, and can handle critique(s). Look at how they handled Geralt from W1 >W2, not to mention the DRM debacle.

Here's Geralt from W2 - notice anything?

Yes, he looks as artificial as a dummy. Seriously, when someone put a TW3's Geralt in the same position, angle cam and and dress I'll can compare it.

Time for my opinion based on my preferences: New armor in the trailer look awful, bring back armors from tw2 and tw1.

P.S. Some armors in concept art looks cool though.

I agree (maybe awful is a little hard term) but, beside the exceptional Raven Armor, I still prefer TW1's armors than TW2's ones.

Fine.
So, basically, you're out of the discussion until oh... 2014? Pose has fuckall to do with that, and you know it

Moving on, and out of the debate, like Simaq. I totally agree - I love the level of detail they had in the armours in W2, especially the heavier ones, that was *beautiful* work.

I agree that waist is too thin and armour is too latex but does it really mater so much? I doubt that during combat someone will look how character looks

That's your interpretation. I've only said that only having both Geralt's I could make a comparison. Opinions and comments can be make upon assumptions too, doesn't they?

Understand and explain a fact or idea is fully compatible with not agree with it. Moreover, even for the most invigorating discussion as one has real points of reference and not merely subjective.

Dude, if you're going to play the subjectivity card with points of reference when being called out on something, at least take a look at your previous comments, m'kay?

If you think poses or camera angles are the culprit here, I vehemently beg to differ.

Moving on for real - I am uploading the reworked fan-translation Times of Contempt later on today, I'll post in the relevant thread when it's up, just needed a few last tweaks

Again.. to me it seems that TW3 one is play it in a 4:3 screen tv and the other in a 16:9 one, I don't know if you see what I mean... And that make me doubt, sorry.

I still thinking that angle cam make a weird effect that you cannot appreciate in other takes:

That's why I'm talking about subjectivity.I know the wierd one here is me... but is what I see in the conjunt of pics....

The image of Geralt is a cropped rip from XNALara - I am on a 16:10 screen - I'll be happy to supply a fullsize screenshot.

Sorry, but no.

The human body has set proportion ratios, with relatively small variation gaps.
Objectively, Geralt's waist falls outside of them.

@Agent Blue then this is the worst CDPR's mistake.

I still seen a normal waist.

it's just a small detail, nothing paramount. But there's still time to fix minute stuff and I'm glad to help CDProjekt anyway I can.

I'll wait to see any comment of a Geralt's disproportioned body in some review after E3 too.
