This is how I expected Geralt to look like. Much more realistic in my opinion:

In fact, I definitely preffer the clothes Geralt wears in The Witcher 1:

Just saw this video on another thread (thanks Gilrond) this is a trailer from the cancelled Console of Witcher 1, the "physical form" of Geralt is fantastic, well proportioned body, well-built physique, did I mention "manly proportioned"!

There`s still time to fix up Geralt`s look. It`s true that CDPRED kinda slimmed Geralt body down for TW2, making him look younger and prettier in the process. This issue with Geralt`s having a slimmer than teen-age woman waist(in comparision to his shoulders width) is still there though. At least that how I feel about it.

Additionally, Geralt`s no Superhero from American comic books and should not look like one, in my opinion. I think that they went too far with this. Making Geralt looks 'cool' is nothing more than appeasing the teen-aged or bearly 20-ish audience in my opinion. CDPRED it`s not your style, you could give us maturer Geralt, we are adults we do know that people get uglier with age, we wouldn`t mind.

Women waist? What kind of Athletic women do you know? Maybe because I'm a woman but what I see is an interesting male shape. I certeainly never confuse this shape with a woman or feminine man

Please, I'd never find a tight dress fit me righ if I were this shape />

I think what he meant are the proportions and they're indead a bit off. Especially considering the stature of Geralt in TW1 they should tone that down, it looks to much like some bodybuilding-champion. Take a look at people who do hard physical work, e.g. construction workers. They have completely different proportions. Only men who are deliberately training to look good have a stature like Geralt. And somehow I doubt he's doing workouts each day and keeps a strict diet. ;-)

Personally I think Russel Crow has a quite fitting stature in 'Gladiator'. Could use a bit more muscles, but not much. It looks solid and steadfast, which is what I'd associate with a warrior. And it allows for the fact, that Geralt is not only eating proteins and drinking water (those are keypoints in professional bodybuilding diets I think to recall).

Geralt is a mutant, trained to kill all kinds of monsters. So he must have alot of muscles. And Geralt was always thin, but indeed in these latest screens it seems he hasn't eaten in the time he was gone...

Who says the mutations gave him muscles? There's no word about it in any book. It's just said that he has enhanced speed, strength, reflexes, endurance, heightened senses and regenerative abilities. Nothing indicates he has to be heavily muscled. And I really wouldn't say he was thin in TW1 and TW2.

I should have known that this will be the Only thing people will extract from my post. Sadly, you`re not an exception. :(/>/>/> I feel however, bound to explain this comparison. I meant that Geralt waist looks like one of those 'I am always on diet', skinny teenage girls. I mean in general sense. I agree it is poorly said, I am sorry.

Witchat, flashing an ultra lean Bruce Lee`s photo does not make a proper comparison. Bruce Lee was body obssesed, please read about it in his biographies. Geralt as far as I know from the books(I read them all)was NOT body obsessed.

To sum up, I still bevlieve that CDPRED gone way too cartoonish on Geralt`s physique in TW2 and in TW3 trailers. As I am convinced they won`t take a step back to make Geralt look more mature I still urge them to do so. :)/>/>/>

Yes, no comparison with any real body, 'cause we don't never use mutagens that change our strength, we, in RL, don't know how that could affect our metaloblism. And Spakowki speak about a graceful, sinewy body, not a croissaned shape thorax or abdominal chocolate tablet.

I reapeat... look carefully the tr

You do realize at one point men did wear corsets and at other points in history they did wear heels? I would say please no male corsets but its not a gay thing it was a fashion thing many many years ago for wide spread use. Even during our civil war we had men who still wore corsets and you might find a handful today who like the look I personally never thought of that as nice for anyone anyhow really breaking your body not appealing.

"waist looks a bit narrow, probably because of big armlets."

I'm sorry, but that "waist" hit me like a sledge hammer, it's GAY! Someone is having a fantasy of what a mans waist should be, and as a heterosexual male, I don't find it attractive nor pleasing on the eye nor how a "fit man of the land" would be built!

I'm not homophobic but the "waist" is just too, too, unattractive and out of place for the character!

Sorry, someone needs to get their wet dreams off some other way, don't do it to this character!

The irony, indeed. You call it gay and yet you're judging another male's body? You want some of Geralt's meat, I see. By the way, I don't see what's the problem with it, other than he's wearing some heavy armor.

This is how Geralt should look or at least built, notice the straight lines from the armpits to the waist, no gurly curves above the hips, watch the video, its from the cancelled console version of the first Witcher, done very well.

Getting tired of the thread, should close it down, the dev's get the picture, of that I have no doubt!

very glad to see this discussion thrive. didn't really notice at first(for me, geralt's clothings has always been the worst part of the game, so i sort of just filter it out), but the tightness definitely doesn't make sense. hope there are at least some armors with normal waist lines.

As I said before I don't like the armor but his body seems fine. Geralt is a witcher. What does this imply? He eats what he gets, mutagens and potions hit his system like a truck, he relies more on agility than strength, thus a very bulky muscular body does not fit him very well. If you were to look closely his proportions are totally fine, the only thing throwing people off are the huge pads on his shoulder.

This thread is absolutely ridiculous, and just goes to show how the average waistline of the global population has expanded to the point where they think men don't, or can't look like Geralt..

FYI, athletic or muscular men tend to have broad shoulders and narrow waists, so there's nothing girly or unmanly about Geralt in the Witcher 3.
