I don't like it either. I'll probably walk around naked until I find a better armor.

I also don't like the new armor... I was expecting something closer to TW1 (well proportioned light armors).
In my personal opinion... a professional witcher should look like this:

I preffer The Witcher 1 art style when talking about armors over The Witcher 2 and 3 (from the few we have seen so far) even if there weren't many different designs. It was unique and closer to the books by Sapkowski.

Plus we also want a proper inventory screen this time. Like in TW 1. Was it really necessary to change something that worked pretty well?:

When I was taught 3ds Max, a CGI software, my teacher told us something that is a basic rule in CGI:

"No matter if you've only used the phyisically accurate settings, the photometric lights and real life exposure and lense settings, if the untrained observer says the image looks weird, than that image is bad."

And this is something that is just so true and useful when you produce 3D on your own - that's why so many times (not in games tho) character's eyes have their own light setup to cast good looking reflections on them, even if it's not physically accurate within the porgram, that different lights are cast on the eyes than on the body.

My point is, no matter if TW3 Geralt's body is anatomically accurate, it simply looks weird, and it does for enough people to call it bad, no matter if you could produce a similar photo with a live model. It still looks weird, and therefore it is not good.

It should look cool, not "weird but if you spend an hour comparing it and measuring it you'll find it actually anatomically correct".

Geralt says: "I am getting too old for this"! (witcher 2 quote, in combat)

Has no one here heard of Clark Gable? He had a 44 inch chest and 32 inch waist.

If that took you 2 minutes I'll give you a better quality image to tweak

Too thick. Geralt is 210, 220 lbs max, I'd imagine. His waist looks so narrow because of the bulky shoulder armor.

I'm gonna give this threat bit more of fuel.

For those who saw the leaked video, a part of the too thin wraist there is a weird pose Geralt makes twice in that video. Since I can't post the screenshot I'll post an outlined version of it from a capture:

It is very noticeable how the arms are akwardly behind his body when he stops runing, his back and the wraist again look totally wrong and as I said it can be seen twice.

I have the original capture of that at 640x480 decent quality to prove it.

Nothing wrong with that. There are people who look like this, although I think Geralt in TW2 was OK.

i really dislike what they've shown so far :p it just does seem too skin tight and latexey or something. I really think the armour and costumes from W2 are some of the most stunning I've seen in any game, I really enjoyed seeing them. I really hope this is just some early placeholder stuff!!!

OK first of all what's wrong with playing a gay character? [2]

I would add a second point: It's supposed a MATURE game... We should have EVEN the choice to play with gay characters. I always loved Bioware RPG (ME and DA franchises) and I see no problem about any character sexuality. Grow up, peteo and dont be afraid with this "details". Meantime, I think Gerald cound be a little bit "bulged" dont you? ;-)

I do like the Witcher 1 armor best (glad to see I'm not the only one), but I have no real issues with the new stuff from what I've seen so far.

If you decide to necro a thread, at least stay on topic. Geralt's - or anyone elses - sexual orientation is not one here.

In game Geralt looks fine.
I don't want to play him as some fat beef cake like gears of war.
Geralt is the Bruce Lee of Witchers so keep it that way.;)
