I'm fit and athletic male in my mid 40s.

My waist is only just above 40% of my height, and 75% of my hips... and I'm not *as* fit and trim as I was a decade ago (when 15lbs lighter).

Not everyone is borderline overweight or obese, and in active people a large chest and narrow waist is a common shape... I look at Geralt and see someone similar to myself. I personally prefer to wear looser clothing, except when on a bike, where aero is improved by non-flapping garments, but his general look is IMO fine.

Ok, so I saw a clip of TW3 and man, I swear that Geralt is wearing a Corset around his waist!!!! All I could think of was "WTF, is someone wanting to make him look like a woman?, is lipstick and a flap on the back of his pants next!"

Come on, if he starts looking "Gay" I will not be playing this character!

Am I wrong, or is this discrimination?

I would like if CD Projekt RED put in the game some armors more similar to the book.

Discimination? Yes, @peteo is being very rude and forgets that there will be lots of different armors for Gayalt, oop's.. I mean Geralt to choose from.
Maybe some of the new armor we have yet to see on Geralt, might not make him look so gay as @peteo puts it. Oh and just for the record, I like Geralt's armor and body shape and I don't think Geralt looks gay at all. Whatever gay looks like to @peteo is nothing more then his own personal taste. Geralt is not gay as @peteo says and nor am I.
So please grow up @peteo, because not everyone here agrees with your Discrimination. If you don't like something and can't express your feelings about it in a mature way then please keep it to yourself and out of the public eye.
Thanks;)

The only males I saw with large shoulders and small waist are those going to the gym and working only their upper body.
Take a look at a lumberjack or any male working in constructions and you won't see anyone having small waist and large shoulders. Even more, for a fighter it's important to have comfortable clothes/armour in order to be able to breath properly and hit using their whole body not only the strenght of their arms (one of the principle of the martial arts).

And big muscles don´t have to be strong ones. I know a guy who climbed on 8k mountain and he is thin as hell but he runs big distances daily like no big deal.

With a sharp sword you don't cut using even the strength of your arm. One hand guides the weapon, the other 'flicks' the tip using leverage. Large movements can be made with very small movements of the two hands... the movement of the arms is predominantly about closing his avenues of attack while opening one for yourself.

The actual cutting only requires less than 1lb of force and a sharp blade. Swords are also very light... usually around 1.5-2kg for a longsword, possibly a little more for a one handed thrusting weapon such as a rapier.

To state that the attack requires a 'to be able to... hit using their whole body not only the strenght of their arms' is to completely misunderstand how swords work.
Your description is barely necessary for *any* hand to hand weapon beyond a baseball bat.

On the other hand, ask any fencer about "fencer thighs". Make what you will of witchers' unnaturally quick reflexes, Newton's Second Law has not been repealed: you need power to move your body explosively, and that power comes from muscles that belong to sprinters more than climbers or distance runners.

"...when it comes to finding a suit that fits, fencer thighs are perhaps the most annoying thing on the planet." [fencing.net forum, "Your Top Ten Reasons to Take Up Fencing"]

You are probably right. I´m no expert on fencing. Anyway I liked TW1 Geralt way more. On the other hand it is not big deal for me how Geralt looks(and other characters) so it won´t decrease my experience from TW3. I mean it would matter if they would screw it up but it´s fine how it is.

Sorry for the necro but I just had to correct a lot of the false assumptions directed towards Geralt and the male body in general. Some people in here clearly have no idea what they are talking about and are feeding others misinformation. There is nothing wrong or inaccurate about Geralts physique.
