in many cultures having a beard is unprofessional. i'm an American Soldier and we shave our faces, because we are professionals.
GERALT of Rivia is a PROFESSIONAL monster slayer AKA WITCHER. i heard we get the option to shave it? i did notice through 1-3 he gets more facial hair.

I must have missed the part where Geralt joins the US army, seriously why cant we use Black Hawks and heat guided missiles in the Witcher games?

You're trying to apply 21th century logic to a videogame based on a series of fantasy books. Besides, the shaved head/beard of a soldier is more like to take away a soldiers individuality, reinforce the "unit" mentality.
Gertalt doesnt fight in an army unit, hes no grunt.

Also, vikings were professional sea raiders. dwarfs are professional miners/warriors, even ancient romans had beards.

but someone could GRAB YOUR BEARD in combat and inflict considerably, maybe even lethal damage to your face nerves. you would stop swinging your sword and cuddle into a ball not being able to fight on !!!!

So I vote for the addition of beard poison you can apply to your facial hair before fights, only and only then it would make sense and be balanced.

Its great, infact i wanted a bearded geralt in TW2 you know like the lady that grows a beard on chapter 3 (still hoping for a mod that does that lol)

the bearded lady was one of my favorites as well
how could you miss her ? I found her on my first playthrough
- it does not matter which decisions you made, all can experience her performance in all its splendor !!!
