Did anyone say "shit"?

yea, the sarcastic comment I made was in response to it.

@Dalladrion I'm sorry about my reaction and I hope it hasn't alienated you. please feel free to share your opinions, as is your right, but with the respect that we all should have of each other and especially the devs.

I just noticed. Did they also redesign Geralts face? Look at the DLC picture. His face looks way sharper and more like the CGI Intro than previous faces did. It's more noticeable on the armor part. They noticeably redesigned Yens face
It ALL looks Badass to me;)

Whoever called current W3 in-game face design "shit" shows no respect do developers & community members who like it. Its your opinion but there is no need for such terms, man. Personally I love his face in W3, it's pretty much the exact same face as shown in CGI trailers and I dont understand why there's so much fuss about it. Too me everything is looking lore-friendly and im happy about it. The only thing that IMO needs more work on Geralt - is his face colour, its looks too human/warm atm. Witcher 2 nailed his face colour.
It will be perfect when Geralts skintone morphs when he takes certain potions.

Don't worry it's not that, it's just that I have nothing more to add at the moment, my statement still stands where it is.

I prefer the summer-conference Geralt. He seems more menacing and gives off more of that mutant vibe you'd expect from a Witcher. In the Sword of Destiny trailer he just comes across as a tired, grumpy old man. I think the summer-conference is more truer to the books as Geralt looks scarier and many would have a more valid reason to fear him.

The WHITE WOLF refers to the WHITE hair, and it does not have anything to do with his skin tone. You don't see the skin of a wolf, because it's covered with hair. Skin tone is not addressed as WHITE vs TAN, it is PALE vs TAN.
It is said that mutations cause depigmentation, but it doesn't mean that Witchers look albino.
It's CDPR's take on Geralt, and I assure you they know the books better than you and I since they've read it in in Polish and Andrzej Sapkowski consults them.

so what you are saying is that they portrait badly the witcher 1 and witcher 2 games and now they nail it, well if they lose pigmentation and i assume he is not black by birth, lets think what color geralt should be.....
my view is simple they made him more commercial, user friendly to beauty standards, i give you an example, the movie hobbit, peter jackson annihilated the book completely with his vision, starting with the looks of the dwarfs and why did he do it? he portrait dwarfs in a more Hollywood beauty stands so he can make more money.

hell even micheal jackon was whiter then new geralt

He again looks like having high blood pressure and grey hair.
He should have white hair and a very pale (unhealthy) face (in most in-game lighting settings).

Just sayin.

We are talking about the transition from Witcher 2 to Witcher 3. People keep saying Wiitcher 2 face is better than Witcher 3, but they are really similar. Witcher 3 has more detail and better expressions.
The transition from Witcher 1 to Witcher 2 is another story, where the two faces are very different including the complexion of Geralt's skin. We cannot expect CDPR to go back from Witcher 2 face to Witcher 1 in the Witcher 3.
