But... it's the same face, slim:

The original face and body type from TW1 is still my favourite though.

Geralt looks really good now, his new look is better because his face moves natural when he talks and that makes him look more real than TW1&TW2.

Still a tough choice between the TW2 and TW3 version. I like that in the previous game he had a more feral, dangerous look to him.

He seems more like a mutant and definitely not conventionally handsome. But the upgrade in life like realism in TW3 is a huge improvement.

I see the same face, the same facial bones lines, the same wrinkles, the same proportion eyes-eyebrows-nose... The only thing I see different is the expression and the mood and the fatigue... Are sure that both pics don't belong to TW2?

If there are any differences they are minor. TW3 version seems to have fuller cheeks and a narrower jaw line. Maybe. He almost looks different in various screen shots. His pallor is healthier and eyebrows are darker though.

@wichat, yes, I was just posting two examples from the second game to make my point.

Maybe is the same sunlight effect which colors Black Yen's hair in brown.... :ermm:
And about the cheeks and jaw.... maybe is the gravity force effect which everyone suffer when we get older by pain after pain.... (not sure if my English here is quite understandable, sorry anyway)

Who knows. Usually the pass of the Wild Hunt Calvary leave a red tint in the sky behind it.

Edit: Anyway, I really need to test this bloody game in my PC to confirm all these horrible defaults :p

I prefer the one from the Striga Trailer in the Witcher 1. It is identical to the books :)

I'm ok with his newest face in the E3 presentations, even though he looks more and more "handsome" ? :D he isn't as that in the books.. but my only one real complain is about his skin tone - way too healthy for a witcher like Geralt

Some of us think his skin tone will change with potions so we can notice the difference. I guess we'll find out when we play it.;)

And true hardcoremuthafu.. players (I do not consider myself being one of them:D) would want to have the option to hide toxicity bar so they had to watch his skin tone. But it would be nice to have these details :)

Sure...I mean, there's so much little detail in the game, why exclude this one? It can't be much harder to do than in the "52 and a half" trailer.

The skin tone is bothering me as well, with every new iteration he looks more human and not an ugly disfigured freak like he is supposed to be.

Agreed on the skin tone, it should be paler, TW2 was perfect on that. Also a little bit of glow in his eyes wouldn't be bad at all :)

Maybe he made a stop in his 6 months journey....

C'mon, guys, let's give a chance to CDPR improvements. Really don't you remember that in books people don't react badly in taverns or streets by have seen a monster but an impressive man? Only if someone of them knows previously that Geralt is a Witcher or only those who looked into his eyes realized that he's not human. Until he grip his sword or shot a sign.

Agreed, make Geralt as pale as he was in TW1/TW2, and make his eyes have the golden glow (really dislike the dull brown/orange look they have now, but that's just me). After that I can see myself loving the TW3 Geralt.

For the record, I have zero complaints about Geralt's new look. I just thought it would be cool to add some kind or profile effect after taking potions.
