And I agree with both of you, the design and face model of Geralt, are amazing, really, but for me just the colour it´s not right, the concept arts. like for example the cover, are also amazing with a much better almost perfect colour.

Note: And I also love the beard.

Regarding the face color, and after watching this thread for a while, I am still trying to remember where in the books was Geralt described as very pale.

You´re right, he only lost his hair pigment, his skin is "standard", but that doesn´t mean giving him pink cheeks, it has to be something like Vesemir or Eskel.

He just slew a monster, some rosy cheeks are to be expected, blood flow and all that. Or maybe he got slapped some 2 days before that by Yennefer, I figure she's got a mean hand.

Nothing at all, only that as a fan of the books, and being the model of The Witcher 2 very well made, I don´t understand those changes.

That's cool, it's just that we should offer critique solely based on how the character models look irrespective of how they were described in the books. Games and books are two different mediums and what may sound great in one version may not carry over so well to the other, but again that's just me.

You´re totally right, they earn the possibility to do what thay feel better to the game, but I don´t think a design colour, has something to do with the game experience, the design of Geralt in the precious games gives him a more faithful portrayal oh his character.

Geralt is not albino, he lost only his hair pigmentation, and then he had a fair complexion in general.

Well, he couldn't shave his beard for 1 month, but still... why. ;_;

About that passage, I've found this in The Sword of Destiny, precisely in The Eternal Fire short story (translated from italian version, sorry for any mistake)

Suddenly the Doppler swelled, then suddenly became leaner and began to grow, while the curly brown hair became white and smooth, reaching the shoulders. The green waistcoat of the halfling threw a glow and turned into viscous black leather, on the arms and wrists sparkled silver spikes. His face from red and plump became long and pale.
Over his right shoulder popped the handle of a sword. "Do not come any closer," he said in a hoarse voice the second witcher, and smiled.

they should be matching his hair if I remember correctly.

His hair is white, but he is not always under sunshine light. I don't think CPDR decide to put a touch of grey just because yes. Have you take a photo of a persone whitehaired indoor and then outside?
