well, with a pony tail he looks younger... i know it's based on comic books, but i liked long hair better.and i'm wondering who's the red haired girl... is it triss? or maybe other sorcerer from Sorcerers Lodge? : )
Actually Vesemir had a pony-tail, so if anything it suggests the coming of age as the hair is let to grow.I do think its Triss, though portrayed like in the Vanilla edition with red hair (as should be i.m.o.), but that's for the "guess who this is" thread :D

My turn to voice an opinion. As everything said above I've found this new version of Geralt too shiny/handsome/pinky skin for my taste. It lacks of charisma. Plus, his hair looks weirdly blue. But honestly, I won't be so hard on the ponytail. He looks more dynamic with.I remember his look in the last trailer of Witcher Rise of the White Wolf and I think preferable sticking to it.But afterall, it's maybe making some kind of sense with the script ?

Well, CDPR said that it is Triss on polish forum, so i gues it is definitive ;)

I really hope the use the old model(no stupid pony tails and witcher's eyes),but Im understand that's not going to happen, maybe fans will make a mod for model replacement.

I get the feeling that the whole game starts to look like Japanese anime. It's not only Geralt's haircut but the vision of each character. I won't be surprised even to see Geralt smiling, anyhow now he looks like a homosexual. Probably the final battle won't be a battle at all, but a g@y 0rgy? It is very likely considering his new voice - so soft and tender...p.s. at least give us a chance to choose Geralt's look. Please.

Oh, dear. This is so sad. :( :( :( :(
Thats not the worst believe me,the worst is since game coming on consoles too, guess what?it will be simplified so console players can play with gamepad, there's another option not consoles will receive pc port,pc will receive console port with all console port problems(GTA IV for example,or Battlefield Bad Company 2),but none of that confirmed so its just my thoughts.

Please listen to your fans CD Project!Bring back the old Geralt and (English) voice. At the very least the option to choose when we start the game? Old tough Geralt or flaming boy toy Geralt.

I wonder what is behind all this, maybe new Publisher thinks that the old style will not be atractive for US console players? :-\Who will publis Witcher 2?

now it's time to be calm. this is a mature game, let's start acting like mature people. personaly i prefer the look from TW1, but i don't think this can spoil the whole experience that will offer TW2. the biggest mistake for me are the eyes, i really don't understand the change.

Either Geralt needs to age as intended with his rough and tough exterior look or you really need to retire him and start off with a new Witcher. If that is suppose to be Geralt and you are intending to keep him like this you just killed the love of this series for me....

Oh my, i really opened a can of worms creating this thread. BUT ITS GOOD THAT I DID! Its real good feedback from your ardent fans whose voice i know you care about. It gives us a place to share our feeling and love for what made the Witcher the game we truly LOVE!On the bright side, its still early and this is a good show of the number of dedicated fans who REALLY REALLY REALLY LOVE THE WITCHER!So much so that people have grown connected with the face of Geralt. And while i know the changes made by the developers were definitely for better reasons we as fans do not know, it is good to see so many fans share their connection to Geralt.I think this will actually turn out to be fantastic feedback to the devs while its not too late from the fans and people who support them and really love their work. POSITIVE REINFORMENT I SAY!Remember, there aint no right or wrong. Just choices. If they so choose to use that face, it aint wrong, just dont look as nice. Saying that, i still feel hes new face just aint right. I want Geralt, not CHARLIES ANGELS!CDProjekt, hear us out and lets make a great game!

You guys are being very close-minded about his appearance and voice. Did you ever consider that maybe he looks different for a reason? Geralt wasn't always known as The White Wolf you know...my guess is that this was either during his days as a fledgling witcher or even training to become a witcher. It's obvious that there's going to be a very good reason for his new appearance. Yeah he looked awesome in the first game, but you guys need to hear out the reasons before attacking it.

actually this game is set straight after the events in the first one... so the big change makes no sense in that light.

Witchers getting pale skin and eyes as kids, because there's no point to train them further if they can live after modifications, and its for life as Saga says.

Yes we know... we are still speculating...i did mention a couple of posts ago that 'that scenes' might be a flashback to during his mutation when he started getting the white hair and eyes...we as fans are just concerned and airing those concerns thats all.RIght now its all speculation. In fact like i mention earlier my guess is those are scenes from a flashback which maybe we get to play a time of Geralt's life during his mutation. Hey man dont forget, we love the Witcher and are RPG fans! Our minds conjure up all kinds of ideas....dont think we didnt think of that possibility that you suggested. Its just that we are coming together to air our concerns thats all. Its still too early to judge.
Understandable, it's difficult to take in the changes made to a new character, especially one that you connect to so deeply either through the game or books. I'm not concerned at all about how the rest of the game will turn out but I can agree with the feelings on his appearance changes. Honestly if they just took off that Kevin Costner ponytail I'd be fine with his look.
