Are you purposefully ignoring the fact that "ridiculous" is a rather subjective term and there are no objective criteria with with you could measure the ridicoulousness of something? Don't be so silly.

That sounds so METROSEXUAL.

As metrosexual as Geralt's new appearance?Oh and Seeker, sorry, but I can't take you seriously if you are talking about behaving like adults while abbreviating "please" as "plz".

Well, then you don't really know the meaning of the role playing but it doesn't concern me a bit in what way people treat/play their games.

There's something I remembered. Geralt's skin tone seems a bit tan. Wasn't he supposed to be an albino on accounts of his mutations during the Trial of Grasses?

Yes, this won't be his skin tone, it will be changed.

Based on the E3 Video..He just does not look or sound like a witcher that has gone through the trial of the grasses. The voice is not deep and dark like the Witcher1 Geralt. At times it sounds similar, perhaps it just needs editing to make it deeper? Triss' voice sounds different as well, new voice actor? Or maybe it's just the sound quality wasn't good from the video I saw. The scars are not deep, dark or unique. Perhaps soft look is symptom of new engine? His wolf-like features? Gone. His features are not as sharp. Not much like the one we knew and loved from witcher1. He looks human, almost indistinguishable amongst the crowd in the video. How can any one of the peasants in game possibly yell "freak" or "mutant" like they did in witcher 1? The expected change in skin tone should help a good bit, I'm hoping. The E3 video also doesn't portray the same smack talking c0cky Geralt with duke nukem like witty remarks. For example, in the part at the hanging scene the choices were "Meaning?" and "Not while I'm here". I would expect something like "You're a madman" and "Cut them down or I'm apt to cut you down, care to dance?" However, it was just a small bit and I can't make conclusions based on that. And it's tough to see these changes because, well, it's a role playing game and we have assumed the role and have a picture in our heads as to what it is already based on witcher 1. BTW Zoltan, Dandelion and Triss look great and this is my first post after having registered 2 years ago! ;)

^This.http://www.gamebanshee.com/screenshots/thewitcher/conceptart/screenshot1.jpgGeralt's design was one of the best i've seen in a video game, esepecially considering it's an adaptation. Scrapping it will always be a mistake in my eyes.

He should take a bath from time to time, apparently he did meanwhile...Well I think there will be refinements in regard of colours. And I think the voices in current presentations are not final.

Thing is that the new G looks too young , "old" G must be like late 30's or even early 40''s , new G 's age group is between 28 and 35 .Also the facial expressions give a negative impression at least to me. Old G is stone cold , he has seen everything and nothing can surprise him , he doesn't get angry , he does not hate , he just does his job ; even at moments of regret he is still a stable confident guy , a realist who knows when he is going to kill and when he will get killed.I have seen the videos with the new G and he looks too much emotionally involved , too much anger driven . He is not a badass , he looks like a kid letting his testosterone getting the best of him . The "G you will get" picture clearly shows a "i will kill you all" kind of unstable luny suitable for any Bethesda / Bioware crappy heroes .He is not the G we met in the first game but a streamlined character. This at least is my impression and i am not the pope to claim that i am always right .Also he looks more Germanic than Slavic , i am not familiar with the books and i am not either Slavic or Germanic .

I agree. In Witcher1 Geralt was not very emotional at all. There was anger at times but cold anger, and some *SOME* emotion with Triss depending on your choices, but that's it. The stone cold features need to come back. That's what made him a unique character to play, simply badass. He's too young, too tan, not wolf-like. I can't tell on the videos whether the old voice actor is there, sometimes it sounds like he is sometimes not. But the voice was perfect for who Geralt was. I guess if the new Geralt is going to be softer, a softer voice would complement it.Blooddragon wrote, among other things..."It pushed us to iterate Geralt one last time, thanks to which the White Wolf got his human proportion, which bizarrely provoked many of your comments"Not bizarre at all. Geralt is not much a human, he is a witcher, a mutant, a freak as the peasants call him. Now, many of the other Witchers at Kaer Morhen looked less like a mutant or freak, but Geralt was a different case, with changed hair etc. and he went through death among other things. He looks younger now, that can't be without some sort of spell cast on him. Maybe Triss wanted him to look gentler on the eyes? lol

There isn't that much of a "Germanic" or "Slavic" look nowadays, really. If there ever has been any, that is. I'm "Germanic", by the way. If you're American (guessing from your first language) I want to add that you might be of Slavic / Germanic descent as well.

You and 100s of others including me although the devs hinted at maybe giving us an option of being able to change it but that has been awhile back (so here`s hoping)they haven`t changed their mind. On second thought (more than 1 in one day i`m on a roll) the ability to wear it down while in noncombat or relaxation mode as the game will not be about fighting all the time

hmm i guess i'm the minority here, i thought he looked like a lizard in the first game, and in the books he was quite a charmer. overall i like the look in the second update the most, so hopefully they can nail that one in the game.

The old Geralt looks like hes been through wars, a Witcher of experiance, a Witcher that keeps danger as close as he's shadow and a Witcher who looks like he has a date with death..The new looking Geralt looks like hes been to the beauty salon, a Witcher of inexperiance, a witcher that keeps monsters at bay as far as he can so they dont break he's pocket vanity mirror that he so loves, and a Witcher that looks like he has a date at the hairdressers! To be honest if we are not given any option I'm going to have to wait for some kind soul to mod the new Geralt with the old Geralt looks before I play the Witcher 2.

Just funny with that deep voice, but sure a show to see. XD@crowtacI might suggest to just read post number one here.
Tell him, he looks like a wuss! (No, he doesn't look in any way experienced at all!)
