Plate armor is only 40-60 lbs which is much lighter than what troops these days carry. It could be useful for one that wants armor more than agility/speed. But you can forget about flips and spins and super fast attacks with plate on. Even if not THAT heavy, it still gets in the way. Geralt chooses better speed agility and maneuverability over heav(ier) armor.

distributed evenly over the entire body, it's basically like nothing.

Did you ever try to jump or climb in this "nothing"? Or run?

Maybe, but I've had the impression from the books and the game that witchers don't use heavy/plate armor because it's useless against the monsters they face.. (remember poor Eyck of Denesle vs the Golden Dragon from Bounds of Reason?) Better just increase your attack/evade speed to the max so not to get hit by the enemy in the first place, right?

I don't even know what to say to that, except that I am nauseated by the very idea.

no need. accounts by medieval knights and watching videos of reenactors being nimble in these armors is more than enough to convince me.but it's actually not that difficult to run with 40lbs on your back. so if it was distributed across your entire body, i imagine it would be even easier.note also, this applies to full suits of armor. most soldiers didn't wear full sets.

*Sigh*.. You obviously have used to creating your own character and fitting him with the armor and weapons of your choice.. If you'd make Geralt bald, make him wear some ridiculous plate armor and helmet you'd basically destroy the whole character. Geralt is special, why an earth would you want him to be like every other main character in every other role playing game? I just don't get it.. :S

1. The point is not running with 40 lbs like some sort of obstracle race, but a matter of agility and flexibility2. Geralt is not a f**king soldier.

I very much prefer the new look. I think it is more slick. He is regaining his memories and settling back into his old life. It makes him look less of a ruffian.

Except for the fact that the old Geralt (pre-memory-loss) did look more like a vagabond ruffain.

Right! The old Geralt looked more relevant to the original Sapkowski's hero. Vagabond, ruffian, not human... it was pretty much better.

And ok, he can regain his memories, but it doesn't change how he looks like. I mean his somatic... However, hello! I'm new to this forum ^^

His face, I mean. It seems too different than the old one. And lol, I'd not like Geralt dressed in plate armor. It has no sense, and I fully agree with eskiMoe!

i think the new voice is pretty good actually. the old one sounds a little too scruffy, like geralt always has a sore throat.also, shaved head, mustache, full plate armor. make it happen ;)

seamusgod, that's something won't happen even in a million years. Even if it happens, that wouldn't be Geralt. Another witcher, side character still with no plate armor. Even then I doubt it will happen. I don't think Polish people likes to wear mustaches.

Are you high ?@e-ahmet and eskiMoeLet's start a club or something against the pro-plate people. We could do slogans, ritual executions etc.

Why? Do you think REDs don't know that Geralt is a Witcher? I think we should not continue this talk.
