I don't think this is a spoiler since the Devs brought this up when promoting the game.

But.

Where's the optional choice that can get Geralt locked up?

I remember all this talk about a huge prision mission that you can completely miss.

There's a thing in Skellige where you can get imprisoned, and have to get yourself out and/or be judged by the Jarl. There's a quest given by the Jarl to help his son you would need to complete to repay the debt. It started so innocently as part of the light house mission aftermath, what with two brash young lads spoiling for a fight. If you fight them and kill them, you get onto that imprisoned path.
