Notice how they also needed zoom in on the pc version to compare it to the 360 version, you can see by my own screenshot that the FOV is MUCH better then what is in the 360 version, For example, look at my screenshot and you can see my boots and all of my leg but in the 360 version the FOV is smaller making the Zoomed in look

It's no secret that console FOV is lower for various reasons. One is performance but also consoles don't need a wide FOV because their players sit away from the TV, so a 55-60 FOV is good, not so for PC users. :)

oi, give the dev some slack will you? They make great games putting huge effort in the 360 version to make it not a quick pc port, that's more than most developers care to do and we all know that playing on pc will give you better definition and image quality providing you can run it.

Now they aren't going to come out and say yeah bro the 360 version looks terrible. They didn't say how they make comparison, for all we know a proper comparison would be running pc on the 360 'settings' (i.e. 720p with most setting turned off) hence those screenshots. Think about it if they managed to look similar with equal settings and resolution that's some terrific feast coming from a 6 years old machine. With equal settings they could look very similar, but the pc will run 60fps+ while 360 is 30 fps capped. When you run it yourself on pc you can turn all the blings on and enjoy awesome graphic. Let them have some marketing done, it's only good for us!

In many ways wc2 360 version is a landmark product, if it sells well and get good review, it only means more revenue for them and hence more resources to make us better future games. We all know through their good faith (no drm, release game earlier than release date, free huge update, dlcs the list goes on), that they (hopefully) won't treat us like ea or activision in the future.

This is not about 360 vs pc, we already know that both version runs well. Most of the differences are aesthetic preference in lighting. Again i reiterate my point - turn bloom off if you don't like the lighting. It takes some good framerate away and it (personally) just doesn't look good. Turn it off and the characters look way more
realistic.

To properly optimize your pc version read this article if you haven't already
http://uk.geforce.com/optimise/guides/witcher-2-tweak-guide/#1
it explains in detail which setting you should use and how they affect your fps and visual quality, with proper graph and screenshots in the presentation.

So don't come here and make snarky comments about PC gamers.

And, by the way, YOUR adorable.

Please stop spreading misinformation. Play that scene again and you'll notice that that the camera zooms around and reaches both positions. They didn't mess with the FOV, they just took a screenshot before it reached the point your screenshot was taken at. Even better, here:

And yes, it reaches the exact same point as in the screenshot at one point, so they didn't mess with the FOV.

XBOX actually looks pretty damn good, I must say! It is clearly better than PC on lowest settings, but not as good as PC on ultra. All in all a great port.

It can be a few things, DX9 is one limitation and DX11 would actually see more performance and less intensive because of the DX11 features. Take a look at Civ5 benchmarks in DX11 when NVIDIA added DX11 MTR support before AMD, it was embarrassing for AMD cards because they lacked DX11 MTR support(multi threaded rendering) in their driver.

DICE said the same thing about DX9 with BF3 and one reason why it's DX10/DX11 and not DX9 on the PC.

I see what you mean now. DX11 would actually allow players to get "more bang for their buck", hence the software TW2 is out of date in that it isn't as optimized as it could be. I would say that the game is still one of the top 5 or 10 most demanding games for PC out on the market ATM in terms of pure hardware power necessary to run it.

Not to be rude but if you think that XBox360 screenshot is better then you should stick to your XBox and stay there. :)

If they didn't mess with the FOV then I stand corrected and sorry for accusing the 360 of that.

So those shots are of a cut scene and not during gameplay. Cut scene DoF is on and depending on how high your settings are, it enables scatter DoF on the ultra spec preset.

Battlefield 3 runs at 60fps on max minus FXAA this is on single HD 5770 at 1920x1200 res. It's gorgeous and it really does show how efficient a DX11 game is.

For the xbox, it's a very good looking game. I forgot how wierd 360 games look after playing on the PC for a while. But it's a very fun experience nonetheless :)

I started playing today and I love the look. It is ported amazingly well. Big congrats to CD Projekt Red! The only complain I have is that the camera is too sensitive but there is definitely an option function to reduce the sensitivity.

Does anyone have the tracklist for the OST? Zune didn't have it, so I have to put everything in manual. I only can find the normal OST Tracklist. :(

I think it good to have realworld screenshot comparison instead of developers tricks to mask stuff and it's not fair to have 360 screens up against Ultra spec PC screens so we have a variety of screens with multiply setting to compare to, I personally still think the low spec pc looks better then the 360 and the ultra pc setting aren't even the same galaxy.

Gerald nude body, especially scars, appear a lot more blurry on my high end pc. Xbox looks better.
Maybe is cause of lighting

This is probably fake. The quest text under the map doesn't have that blue glowy part on the Xbox version. Pretty sure the font is different, too.

I only play 3rd Person perspective games on a console so the Xbox 360 version is superior for my play style )
