You think these are blurry?geminix said:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0LZmxD7Yi8
Gerald nude body, especially scars, appear a lot more blurry on my high end pc. Xbox looks better.
Maybe is cause of lighting
Can you post screenshots of the same scene from the Xbox? That would be hilarious seeing a screenshot up that close from an Xbox version! Seeing the Xbox version on a 5x5 compressed video isn't going to cut itgeminix said:Yes. Shoulder skin is blurred in first photo and scars are blurred/low res in the last one. Compare face detail wth scars and body details
This comparison of yours is hellova stretch, you know? They are basically two different games from different epochs. It's like comparing NWN1 with TW2.Rolfgang said:Are we really comparing graphics to decide which version looks better? Of course the PC version looks better, it always does compared to console games, since they have much more power (depending on the pc). Just that it looks less good on the 360 than on the PC doesn't mean however that the 360-version looks just goddamn nice... FOR A 360 GAME!! It's the same to compare Metroid on the NES with Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, different platforms, with different power, different graphics.
We'll see who has the final laugh when a terrorist kidnaps you, holds a gun to your head, and then asks you, "Which is the more graphically superior version of The Witcher 2?"Mrowakus said:Anyhow, is it really that omportant to compare graphics?
You are aware that you can hook up your PC to TV, and play with the controller?AlterEqo said:I only play 3rd Person perspective games on a console so the Xbox 360 version is superior for my play style )
People think that's tedious lol. I hooked my PC version to the TV and it looks so beautiful. It only took an HDMI cable and a quick monitor change in the settings.n4meless1 said:You are aware that you can hook up your PC to TV, and play with the controller?
API does not matter. You only use DX11 if you need it's features. DX11 features doesn't worth the effort for most games.WrATH72 said:It's not superior on the XBox and CDPR only say that because of marketing. The fact is that the XBox360 version has been cut down a lot in fidelity and it misses a lot of high level graphics features.
XBox360 Version:
Less polygons on characters
Reduced scenery detail
High quality post processing removed
No SSAO
No light shafts
No high quality depth of field, scatter depth of field
Reduced LOD distance
Reduced shadow quality
Reduced texture quality
Reduced lighting quality
Reduced decals
No wet surface rain effects?
All that and even the PC version is limited by DX9. CDPR won't do DX11 because it's probably too much work for them with the XBox360 release.
360 version can look similar, it's the same game after all, but it can't look better.Gunrun said:Can you guys even read. He says NO ONE is arguing that the 360 is technically superior.
However, doing blind tests on a sibling who hardly plays video games, they state that the 360 version looks either the same or better.
What we have here is a difference between art and graphics. The 360 version has better art and that is what is important. I'm pretty annoyed that the EE didn't give us PC users the changes to scene lighting.
DX11 is much better in a lot of ways and the only reason it's not used so much is because of consoles, it's also fast and so is DX10. There are quite a few DX10 games that perform much better in DX10. DX9 is limited, CDPR onyl did DX9 probably because the engine is crossplatform, other than that there is not much reason to use DX9.Cattleclysm said:API does not matter. Look at Crysis 2 and how they implemented DX11, they literally poured millions of polygon on flat surfaces to make it more 'realistic' in reality, all they were doing was promoting Nvidia cards over ATI because thanks to CUDA Nvidia cards didn't see those hidden polygons.
DX11 is only there to make things easier for developers who want to use developer or soft shadows. In the end, no matter what API the game uses, it is the developers' skill that matter.
or for games like Crysis 2, DX11 is there for advertisement purposes.
Comparison videos on youtube are useless they really are and they remove a lot of fidelity, especially from the pc version. In the end the XBox360 version is good for it's hardware but ultimately not nearly as good as the PC version.n4meless1 said:PC vs Xbox comparison video..
