I used to work at a pet store, and I can tell you from experience those things can hurt you when they want to. For instance when they're sick and you're trying to take them to the vet. A mouse. Yes. To the vet.I'm trying to convince my neighbor I don't eat straymice....
I can imagine it. Our babies are part of our family. No matterI used to work at a pet store, and I can tell you from experience those things can hurt you when they want to. For instance when they're sick and you're trying to take them to the vet. A mouse. Yes. To the vet.
Suits you very well!
I've already seen that video and I think... it's a bit disturbing yes.... how advertising show us only perfect women... :-Love this video. Sure that most of you know why and think the same. The idea came from her protagonist.
Is she perfect though? I do not think so. That's the "genius" behind this whole thing. She is not perfect. She is just being advertised as "the perfect woman". That way, every other woman wants to look like her and they try to, naturally by buying the advertised products.I've already seen that video and I think... it's a bit disturbing yes.... how advertising show us only perfect women... :-
She's not, and I agree with your post, my question was about why they need to give these women "perfection" using Photoshop et similia. Why could not be okay without it? You can clearly see the model is good, but instead you see modifications because... she's not good enough? Which I really don't understand is why advertising must give us plastic women. And the model is asking about it, otherwise she would have not made that video. Is she perfect though? I do not think so. That's the "genius" behind this whole thing. She is not perfect. I don't think that such thing as "the perfect woman" exists. At least in that concept. So yeah it is disturbing that so many people are being misguided into believing a flawed concept. And focus on trying to reach that "perfection", instead of focusing on making their relationships work, for example.
Anyway, I would certainly not buy that a woman is perfect simply by looking at her picture. I might think she is visually attractive yes, but perfect overall? Not even close. There's so much more to it.
Because of cosmetic and fashion business. Then all the marketing about SPA's, gyms, light foods, drugs...and the list go on and on. And the sadest of all, lillte girls grow up surrounded by those liar messages. Learning to a girl how to love herself as she is without be influenced by "you're worth more if you're the most beautiful" is not easy. But not impossible. She's not, and I agree with your post, my question was about why they need to give these women "perfection" using Photoshop et similia. Why could not be okay without it? You know, all the boys I saw convinced about this were generally stupid. And their girlfriends had generally the same IQ.And if they cannot convience the young girl. they easy convince young boys that this perfect beauty woman exists. So the circle is almost closed
Oh..I saw this in a Short film Festival, it sums up the demands of our society toward women.
I think it's even worst than the photoshop thing video ..
If you are sensible please don't watch it :/

Damn, i know what is the whole beauty industry like, but that short movie made me sick. I totally agree with @wichat - it is just ridiculous what the industy do to young girls. I mean, look at all of the toy stuff in the shops - Barbie, Monster High and so on. Try not to buy one of them to your daughter when all of the other girls have it. Apart from that the way those are made - the total unrealistic figure, completely inappropriate clothing and make up... And that is only the top of the iceberg. Young girls and boys brainwashed from the very beginning.I saw this in a Short film Festival, it sums up the demands of our society toward women.
