Wererat was recently changed so his end of turn ability would resolve before others. Since the Timer keyword was introduced to give this effect to multiple cards so that they would activate before end of turn abilities would resolve after being checked (melee then ranged), the new Timer keyword would do exactly what his changed effect would do. This also applies to Summoning Circle. The Timer keyword negates any need for a “Before the end of your turn…” effects.
