I'm new to this whole pre-order and pre-load thing.. CP2077 is my first preorder.
Should I download (pre-load) on monday OR wait for Dec 10th day 0 patch..
I'm on metered data connection.. so every GB counts.. I currently have 100GB 4G data balance.

Thats.... probably not going to be enough. Are you on PC or console? The actual game filesize is 70ish GB and JUST the day 0 patch is looking to be 50ish Gb. Theres prolly going to be more patches soon after. It doesnt really matter when you download those.

I recommend you preload anyways, so that in theory you could at least play the un-patched game... I hope you bought on Gog.com so you don't need internet for the DRM..

I have a stupid question and hopefully someone knows the answer. Will the first day patch autoload when the game is downloaded on console or will we have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get the patch?

Between RT min and RT medium. That's between second and third column from the right.

So how does 'preload' actually work ? I have GOG Galaxy installed, am on PC, and have purchased from GOG so I can see it in my library. Galaxy still says 'Release on Dec 10' (yes, I have updated to latest version). Preload in my locale (AU) is for 10pm AEST (i.e. 3 hours from now).

Will I be able to start the preload from within GOG Galaxy (click on install button), or will CDPR post a preload link somewhere like you did for Witcher 3 ?

You only need to wait for three more hours, friend. That is when PC preload is green lighted.

Why are consoles being released at midnight local time? It seems weird to release on PC everywhere in the world at the same time and then with consoles half the world gets it earlier and half the world gets it later? FYI I'm asking because I'm in Central Canada and play on PC and my buddy is on west coast of Canada playing console and because of this he's going to not be able to start until 8 hours after me, messing up our ability to play together right at launch. We have a third friend also west coast playing on PC and we all planned to do this together going different lifepaths and everything. I mean this isn't a huge deal, but some understanding as to why the weird difference for console timing would really help please.
