Just a nudge that this footage is from SDCC last year and it was more of a...'concept' vid. This was before the movie even started filming so don't expect the same scenes to be there. That said, it looks pretty complete for 'just a concept'

No, this trailer is leaked trailer that will be shown on Comic Con in NY. You probably confused it with short video about Godzilla seen through office building window:

I haven't seen this office building one at all, lol.

The one I'm talking about is with narration, and it had some...godzilla claws lying around? Pretty sure that's they one which was mentioned as from last year's SDCC. But it does look too complete

I had saved it yesterday:

Can't check the one linked in OP, bandwidth issues.

Oh, actually you are right. It was already shown a year ago. I'm surprised then that Internet started buzzing about it now. Also yes, it's looks very complete for a trailer that was made long before production started.

making it realistic is kind of missing the point, also trend following nonsense. but since it's a remake they might as well totally change it

Making it realistic is exactly the point. That's what the original tried to do.

By realistic I think Slim means believable, not just a glorified monster box ring.

And I think that trailer is pretty cool. I like how the monster blends in with the smoke, it is a good example of the film's possible direction and symbolism.

Godzilla from 1954 was made to be believable too.

Cool. I am excited to a return to the spirit of the 1954 version (deadly serious), as opposed to the silliness of the 1970's versions.

Looks good. Nice visuals. Has a sense of dread, that's what I like about it.

I hope that movie will be extremely successful and Hollywood will start making movies about giant monsters/aliens/etc. 18+ instead of 13+ like they were doing for quite some time now. When I go to see movies like that I want to see terror, despair and genocide, and not children-friendly movie about value of friendship.

The new trailer looks amazing. Really gives you the feeling that Godzilla is not only a monster, but a bloody force of nature and a walking catastrophe. I'm excited as hell now.

the point of these movies is to maximize profit during the summer and appeal to a broad audience, the only way they can do this is with pg or pg-13.

and godzilla movies was never about despair and terror, but more about excitement and spectacle.

to be honest, this thing is silly. why are they remaking movies that came out only a decade ago? same as spiderman, hulk, and all other other reboots of films that came out 5 to 10 years ago.

oh and godzilla swatting jets out of the sky...haha. oh dear.
