GOG Galaxy file verification repeating

Hey there,

just wondering if someone knows why GOG keeps downloading the same 29MB for me when I go to verify my files. When this happened the first time I figured something had gone wrong when downloading the patch or something but out of curiosity I immediately verified my game again only for GOG to download the exact same amount again. Any idea why that might be? Is this is even actually indicative of there having been something missing in the first place?

yeah this has been an issue for me for as long as I can remember ( maybe day one, not sure ).
what I am sure of is that it's still happening after 1.23 so.....yeah, the only thing I can say about that is.... w.t.#.
what if anything are we downloading over and over?
how is this still happening?

windows10, GOG, 1.23....
