GOG Launcher causing keyboard and mouse issues.. quite strange.

Witcher 3 and the Galaxy launcher have been pretty smooth for me. Until yesterday. Now when I launch Galaxy it causes my pc to mess up and act as if I am holding ctrl and alt at the same time.

This means a lot of the keys no longer function or produce alternative characters, like é, ú, í, ó and clicking my left mouse button no longer simply opens documents or windows. When I close the galaxy launcher the problem remains. This effects everything, text documents, typing in other games and even using the scroll wheel when on the desktop causes my icons to shrink and enlarge lol.

Only a restart solves it and it doesnt happen again until I launch Galaxy. To check this I spent a few hours playing other games, surfed the web, watched some youtube videos, chatted to friends on steam, then launched Galaxy and BAM.. the problem raises it's head.

I have a shortcut to launch the game without Galaxy so it is not a big problem but would still like to try and fix this.

Any ideas?

Ah maybe this should be moved to the pc sub forum? Apologies if posted in the wrong section.

P.S Many years ago I installed the wrong sound card drives for my creative blaster and it caused all the scientists and barneys to die during the tram ride in half life. Made me laugh until the tram ride finished and barney died just before opening the door leaving me stuck in the tram. Pc's can be strange.

Gog still works but you cant do anything because the way your mouse operates prevents you from taking any actions, like running games or clicking on tabs.

Could really do with some advice or tips. Does anyone know if there is a way of reinstalling gog without opening it and without touching my witcher install and save games?

Have you tried contacting GOG about this? If the problem persists after you exit the game, it does seem to be a Galaxy problem.

My bad. I did not realise there was separate tech support for gog. The problem occurs as soon as I open gog, regardless of whether I try to run the game. I'll chase this up with gog, thanks.
