Whomever you feel like choosing. Which faction do you trust? Many quests contain choices that relate to the story, such as the one above. You shouldn't ask whom to choose, unless you want to play the story of people who advise a certain choice, rather then your own story...And if you have *problems* with finishing quests (something altogether different to *making choices*), here is the quest list http://witcher.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Quests_by_Act Each is described in great detail.I thank you for your timeGorthuar of MirtheMaster of Arcane Magick

No matter which side you pick, both good things and bad things will happen later on. There's no choice that's clearly best for the player. This is a game that enables you to exercise your values, not just your wrists ;), and this is one of the opportunities you have for doing that.On the one hand, the dwarves and elves are being treated badly -- did you notice that Vivaldi's bank was stolen from him, merely because he's a dwarf, and that the dwarven blacksmith had his equipment confiscated for the "crime" of being non-human? On the other hand, the methods the non-humans use for fighting back against their oppression are sometimes distasteful. What matters to you? Do you prefer stability at the cost of oppression or freedom at the cost of bloodshed and destruction? There's no easy, obvious answer to this question ... which is one of the reasons why this game is brilliant.

An understatement, if there ever was one :p

The efforts of the non-humans to free themselves are mostly seen in Chapters 3, 4, and 5 -- and the OP is in Chapter 3 -- so I didn't want to spoil the surprise by going into too much detail. ;)

This choice has been long debated on this forum, and as the others have said no path is the right or wrong one.If you can't choose, have a look back at previous choices so far:- Did you help Siegfried in the sewers to kill the monster? If so, was it simply because you needed the help, or did you like the guy?- Did you give the elves Haren's goods in the outskirts or did you kill them? If you gave them the goods what was your reaction to Coleman's death?Choose the side you think is worthy of helping. If you'd rather just stay neutral, that choice is ahead in Act IV, so just pick one for now.

Only logically reason (except personal interest) i can find for this is that if you join the Scoia'tael you avoid blood spill and only kill monsters. Which ofcourse is the way of the Witchers.

that was a nice surprise. i'd decided i was going to help them, but i really was not looking forward to mowing down a bunch of guards in the bank.

I was on the neutral path, so everybody wanted a piece of me in that bank.
