Minesweaper? LOTS of totally useless training (in peacetime) requiring many things to be done in one, and only one, way with precision (one really doesn't want to screw up disarming several hundred kilos of explosives) not to mention people looking over your shoulder 24/7 harping about keeping things ship-shape (ships require a LOT of maintenance and things have to be stowed in the right place in the right way so they can be located/accessed quickly) and of course the inevitable someone jumping down your throat every time you do anything considered remotely unsafe.
Twelve+ hour days, so-so (at best) food, little do do but play cards/chess when you're not working, inevitable harassment by senior members of the crew for the first year or so till you earn your "sea legs".
What's not to like?

I can't believe i am saying this but yes, all that and it gets much worse than that..
I am the helmsmen of a small ship from 70's.. There are so many meaningless rules.. I can't even find the words to complain properly..

I tried that.. but it didn't work.. I ended up having a minor surgery so i will be staying at home for the next 20 days or so..
Aw, you followed through and got gender reassignment surgery for me?

Yes, i went ahead and took the alien gender reassignment surgery like we talked about.. Now my junk is an antenna and i can mindf**k people remotely.. I still do not understand why you insisted this much though.. And range is so limited too..
Also, thank you all.. It was a nasal polyps surgery and they took some cartilages out as well.. Not sure if they touched the bones though, it just hurted like hell..
