Gotta a bug in the middle of the game all of a sudden, help?!

Hey, it's been a long time since I came here.. no, I'm not dead...:rebel: I'm still playing the game (270h in and still going!).

Sorry for posting a "HELP! Thread" but I gotta a bug that I can't seem to find the fix for and I don't want to risk it and look further into the forum and end up reading a spoiler.

The bug happened as I became in contact with

the mist on the isle of mists

. For some reason every tree, grass, water, fire, clouds and some signs now have cut frames, while everything else in the game is running at 40-50 fps those effects seem to be "running" at 10..(I have a 970).
Now I've been off the forum and sites since the game launch, so I don't really know what might be going on...

Is this a known bug? Could you please point me to the fix if there's one? :cheers2:

Here's a video so you see what I mean. The game was normal before that part I mentioned up there.

Damnit, ok it's hard to see it on youtube but trust me it's there.

I tried:
Changing everything to Low, graphics and posteffects. Windowed modes and etc.
Verified Integrity of the game on Steam.
Restart PC.
Offered hot chocolate to PC.
Threat to show PC's embarrassing photo from Christmas party if he doesn't run the game right.
Look for the answer on google, and youtube.
Reinstalling the game.

@Rpac.605 Interesting. I never run into this problem so I dont know how to help. Have you tried to begin a new game to see if it's a thing related to this save or it's a thing related to the all game? After that you can try to repair Verify/Repair the files from GOG galaxy.

If that doesnt help, Im afraid you need to unistall and reinstall

Yep, you were right, if I start a new game everything is normal. the problem seems to be related to loading

the Isle of mists, I think it's about loading the mist it self

... and apparently no one ran into this so I'll have to post it on the bugs thread and wait for a fix to continue. :/

I'm not sure what you are saying about the mist. You mean that the problem present itself after you go into the Isle of Mist? Anyway, keeping the files save and repairing is definitely worth a shot

I was sailing there, and when I started seeing the mist I had fps drops, I didn't go to the Island it self, because I wanted to do some quests before. I came back to the other Islands of skellige and noticed the problems.
I verified game integrity already.
I saved the savegame files and I'm reinstalling the game now, let's see if this helps.

Update: Ok, reinstalling the game did nothing.. and if anyone is curious the savegame files were not ereased, so no need for any savegame management program if you're planning to reinstall.
