Grainy shadows

I just got the time to start fully playing The Witcher 2 and loving it so far. However, I've noticed something with the shadows. They look all grainy no matter what settings you're on. by searching the net I noticed that it's been a problem since the launchday. Has anyone found a fix on this to this day, or is it just something you have to accept as an annoyance?

Its just the way the shadows are drawn, you have to get used to it.

Ok, got it. It's doubtful that W2 would someday be patched to DX11, so I'm just going to live with it.

Yeah its just how the shadows are, you can get rid of it but the only way to do that is to play with Ubersampling on or Downsampling a higher resolution.

That works too, but it causes the textures to look so outdated, very washed out.

Yeah, the shadow quality is one of my only complaints about the game. They look grainy as hell.
