I'd like to ask a general question, does anyone believe that The Witcher 3, considering it is a huge open world game, doesn't look as good as it should? I mean, we can nit pick little details all we want but overall, do you think the game look sub par? Also, what is more important to you, textures or technology (aside from artistic design, story, ect...), texture-wise it's not perfect, but CDPR never claimed that it would be, however technologically speaking, there is nothing to say, is there?
Another thing I wonder, what are you comparing The Witcher 3 with when you talk about "next-gen" or how good the graphics are? Because it is important to remember that the Witcher 3 isn't like any games, it is, so far, the biggest games (map/world) since the new generation of consoles came out and since we have seen a major increase in visual quality of games.
I'd also like to point out (again) that we don't know the setting at which these gameplay videos are running at, we expect high but we don't know all the little setting, it's not a flash game with 4 settings, is it? We can also see that the screens OP did (the early ones) clearly looks like they have a sharpening filter on them.
Not even sure exactly what I am trying to say really, but I don't see the point in discussing a potential "downgrade" based on gameplay vs screenshots vs trailers, it seems to be completely sterile to me, oh well.
