Graphic of Witcher 2

Related to TW2 doc:http://www.gametrailers.com/video/polish-doc-the-witcher/63972As i was watching the video above one thing kept going thru my head, will my PC be able to handle this? The enthusiasm in the video for the new level of graphic design sound great indeed and looks superb, but i do hope you guys arent expecting everyone to have some high-end super PC (much like crysis when it first came out).fyi-Its not like i got a super crappy computer, it runs most new games out atm on medium to high at 60fps.Anyway, I know its probably to early to even think about. It just got me wondering if i should hold off buying a new couch set for my flat, and start investing in new PC parts instead. ;)

Indeed, I would like to see TW2 better optimised than TW1. Truth be told, TW1 ran terribly given it's graphics back then.

You know what's great about PC games? Graphics options, you can lower the resolution, lighting, textures, draw distance and whatnot so your PC will be able to run it. And people who have a good PC can run it at higher graphical options. There's no reason to punish people with good rigs because there are people with low end rigs. That's what the graphics options are for.And in the end it also comes down to how well the new engine is optimized. I can't say Aurora Engine was very good in that regard, considering how it looked it ran very poorly. So hopefully the new engine will fare better.

Mass Effect 2 looks great and it could run on an average PC perfectly. I think that CDP will do their best to make their game optimized and beautiful, I believe they will succeed.

Yep, ME2 is the best optimised game I had in years. My specs are low I think but I run it on high details bloom blur and shadows, without AA and it runs fine...and the love of the graphics :)BUT, ME2s weather and enviro are static...with TW2 its altogether different, I started to worry when I saw the forest lighting :O

keep in mind that TW1 used the Auroa engine and put full DX9 effects ontop of it, seriously stressing the engine and reaching its limits (or breaking it). That's why even a monster of an PC will have troubles in some TW1 scenes. This new engine is multiplatform (or ready for it) so I can't think it will be a demanding title since the 360 has the Hardware of an 2007 PC. If a console port runs bad, it's the coders fault, certainly not the PC.And yeah, ME2 is a marvel of an low-res engine made to look like it is high-res. It was perfectly sufficient for what it did and ran on many pc setups. oc it was no STALKER or METRO2033 in its visual splendor, just the best compromise you can get visually. Hats off to BIOWARE. But what CDPR has, nobody can top and no engine can provide: SUPERIOR TALENT.Just compare the most bland and boring design I have ever seen in an RPG: DragonAge with TW1. It's like from different planets in terms of quality. Bioware's single player MMO just looses so bad in the "artistic" departement they sure should rethink some of their decisions regarding their workers. Still the game manages to entertain although my eyes almost fall asleep when looking at the next bland stupid room where you get swarmed by darkspawn for the 100000000000th time.

Had to put it down about half way through. By contrast, TW1 has more labyrinthine, engaging areas to explore. And TW2 looks fantastic. They must have some top-notch graphic artists on the team.
