Graphical glitches - fire problems, etc.

Added the enhanced edition patch to my PC version which worked great graphically before , but now with the patch (even though the patch seems to have installed fine) when I start a new game large white beams flash down ( perhaps emulating rain) at the starting cinematic about the "wild hunt", the game then runs normal but any fire (candlelight, lanterns, etc.) shows up as blocky flickering white and orange blocks, other than that all the other graphics are perfect with the exception of the dialogue choices that showed up before the EE patch , now they barely show up grey only when I run over them with the cursor to highlight them otherwise I can barely see them. Any suggestions of tweaks I could make to get my game back to the way it was graphically before the EE patch?

Were there any errors at all displayed during the patch installation? A number of problems like this have been the result of clicking "Ignore" when the patcher reports an error. If the patcher reports an error, it's not lying; don't click through it, or you'll end up with pieces missing from your game.

Ya I did ignore an error.

It was: C:\Program Files (x86)\The Witcher 2\Cooked PC\pack0.dzip

What do I have to do to fix it any idea?

you can not ignore an error on a 10gb file. You should try to download files 1 and 2 from http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/ place them on the directory where the patch is (overwrite the two files) and reinstall the patch. If there are still errors during the installation you'll have to download more bins but i don't know which ones.
