Hello CD PROJEKT RED Support Team,
I would like to report a serious graphical rendering issue I am experiencing in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered.
I have attached a screenshot showing the issue for reference.
The problem appears to affect dust, smoke, fog, and other volumetric/particle effects. These effects do not seem to be rendered correctly and can produce large dark or corrupted areas on the screen, sometimes covering a significant portion of the image.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, the effect appears as a large black graphical artifact around the character and the ground. This becomes especially noticeable when it is raining or when entering areas with a high density of fog or atmospheric effects. At times, the effect can become so large that it practically covers the entire screen, making the game extremely unpleasant and sometimes difficult to play.
What makes this particularly interesting is that:
Because the issue was not present before the patch, I suspect this may be related to a change in the shader compilation, particle rendering, volumetric fog, or post-processing pipeline introduced by the update, rather than a hardware problem.
As an additional technical reference, Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) previously encountered similar rendering problems in Star Citizen involving fog, particles, and shader/rendering systems, including issues affecting both AMD and NVIDIA hardware. Their development work has included fixes for fog popping, particle rendering problems, shader compatibility, and volumetric rendering.
I mention this because the visual behavior looks very similar to the type of shader/VFX rendering issue that can potentially be resolved with a shader fix or a small hotfix, rather than requiring changes to the user's hardware or a complete reinstall.
Could you please investigate whether this is a known issue introduced with version 5.00b, particularly on AMD Radeon GPUs?
I would be happy to provide additional screenshots, videos, diagnostic files, or any other information that could help reproduce and identify the problem.
Thank you for your time and for looking into this issue.
Best regards.

What makes this particularly interesting is that:
- The game worked correctly before the recent patch/update.
- I am currently running version 5.00b.
- I do not experience anything similar in any other game on this system.
- My GPU drivers are fully up to date.
