Graphics issue blotchy squares

Hi;

I need some help here; I have an issue with graphics. Random squares, mostly white, flash onto screen during play, not video scenes through. Also lines appear down the screen. So far I have;

Installed latest catalyst
Installed latest catalyst application settings (removing old versions first)
Played with AV software off
Reinstalled Whither and all patches
Checked DirectX
Gone down to Medium specs from High
Check AA is under application control
Uber-sampling is off.
Turned AA off
Run in window mode (same issue)
Checked card temperature - up to 58C. I set fan to 100% and got Temp to 44C but no change.
Checked card is not overclocked.

My Card is Radeon HD7800 Series 2GB.

NOTHING worked - any ideas please....

Seems like AMD/ATI users are having a real issue lately playing this game....I do not have an ATI card yet. I still have to decide which one to get for my AMD/ATI rig i am building.... I hope to see the issues solved by then...wish i could help...

No none at all.

I suggest getting MSI afterburner http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm and installing Kombustor . Then run Kombustor to stress your card . If the card or power supply is failing this should determine it .

Yes; nice app. I have run it for 4 minutes FPS average 75 temp stabilized at 49C.

I would suggest running it for at least 15 to 20 minutes . And look for similar artifacting with the squares or lines running through it as it does in the game . If all checks out then either reinstall the game and patches or claim your backup copy from GOG with all patches included . http://www.gog.com/witcher/backup

Thank you the blotchy squares have gone. However the game is unstable dropping out the the desktop after 10-15 minutes of play - a little annoying.
