Seriously what the hell? With 770/780 you should "kill" this game, but instead we will get ~30 fps for the same quality of that from consoles?

Does this guys really knows what he's talking about? Because this sound like a total non-sense to me... That's not "Optimisation" at all.

Probably recommended specs on ultra will give 30 fps. At least that is how I understand it. Console quality is less than high, more than medium graphics. But if 770/780 gives 30 fps on high it will be pretty bad

Ew, that statement still stings when I think about it. The consoles having an advantage for having closed specs is true but that big of a needed difference to get a tie is a bit nuts. A 770 and I7 should run circles around the parts in a console, while in this situation you need it just to get the same experience. I can not call that well optimized in the slightest on the pc side.

Mhmm. It's why I'm hoping Badowski is talking out of his ass.

He also said this in another interview (A long time ago though), "So, the difference, even if new [graphics] cards are released [for PCs], will be negligible for some time or consoles might even surpass PCs."..

As a general statement: Badowski & Iwinski aren't developers directly working on the game, they are CEO's. They call the big business shots, like whether to delay the game or not, whether to have DRM etc, they drive the direction of the company. However they are the last people I'd expect to know the finer details about technical stuff, be it in general or even their own games. Considering the kind of statements they've tried to make over the last couple of years (There was an article where Iwinski tried to call out resolution as not being a big deal - there's more context to it than that but it was still rubbish), there's enough evidence to point to that.

It's cool that the two of them still try to get involved with the games CDPR makes. I really do support their enthusiasm and whenever they talk they seem like really cool down to earth joe's, but ultimately interviews with them should only be about the company in general, their past, future and whatnot (The IGN interview recently was very good actually) and they should be kept away from everything else. Kind of like Greg & Ray from BioWare, they took the back seat and BioWare flourished for many years (Until a combination of EA & much of BioWare's developer talent leaving occured).

Yes, it does; I would read it "will be optimized further", but that means there will be an Ultra level for PC, just without a few of the most performance-sapping features.

It also says that texture rendering is better on the PC, and draw distance is about twice as far on the PC. Those are in comparison to PS4. In short, the PC version on a quality PC is visibly better than the PS4, by a comfortable margin.

Hmm, I have to agree with CrhisStayler here. 'Highest' literally implies the highest graphical setting aka Ultra. Otherwise he should have said, the 'high setting or high level will still be optimized' It also makes sense if you read his whole answer. He says first that the test system runs the game fine right now already. After the 'highest' comment he then states that after optimization the 'highest' setting should run fine as well. If it already ran fine on 'high' why would he say it needs optimization to run fine on 'high'? It is implied that he is talking about a higher graphical setting than simply 'high'.

Don't know if I made my reasoning clear like this. Just my 2 cents.

Hope they make it for May, and hope to see some mouse/ keyboard setup/ play? in next months, .

Well I freaking hope so, because we all know that Consoles will be set on medium/high settings and having 30fps with GTX 770/780 on PC makes No sense at all..
Maybe he mean 30fps with recommended for Ultra. Because otherwise it's bs and contradicts everything about CPDR's statements on constumisation.

Maybe @Marcin Momot could explain this confusion a little bit?

30 fps really sucks!!!!
Especially when you need smootheness to kill monsters and enemies(human, elves, etc)!!!

Well if you're playing on PC and it's reasonably above the minimum specs, then you have nothing to worry about. The joys of having control over your settings.

We (...) improved the facial expressions and lip sync significantly. (...) So we used a dynamic system based on sounds, similarly to TW1 and TW2 where it came out poorly. In the Witcher 3 it’s incomparably better made, we raised the bar for the whole industry compared to games that have to use the same system(like Bioware games) and that also cannot be seen in that trailer.

I'm a bit sceptical about this one. I just watched the latest gameplay video and some cutscenes from Dragon Age: Inquisition, and to be honest, the latter looked more convincing to me.

Vizima has been mentioned in a preview, I'm assuming it's Vizima.

I don't think some understand the enormous complex process of game development, if they were to developed everything running high resolutions from characters to backgroung processes and lighting, I don't care how good of pc you have, you could not run a game of this scope.
To even suggest there will be some sort of visual parity between the PS4 and PC just isn't true, im a PS4 gamer and I know this, I can't wait to see all the post in may showing all the pc footage.

It's almost certainly Vizima. The scene in which Geralt takes a bath is set in Foltest's castle. You can see that at the king's lilies on the wall, the crest of Temeria. It's also where the Nilfgaardian emperor installed his royal court during the occupation of Temeria. You remember the throne room scene from the SOD trailer? That was the same castle in Vizima and probably the moment Geralt will meet Emhyr in the game for the first time, right after the bathing scene in the newest gameplay vid... ;)

I think they mean Novigrad and Oxenfurt. The latter was confirmed in Q&A with wichersite.pl

Oxenfurt has been confirmed for months & months & months, but yes, that was the second city.

Really? I thought DA:I's lip-syncing was even at the best of times very unconvincing, and their facial animations (And animations in general) were just downright unacceptable for a 2014 AAA title. TW3's is off sometimes, but not nearly to the extent that I found DA:I's to be.

After seeing some more characters lip-sync, and getting some more varied dialogues, I do have to agree to an extent. The lip-syncing doesn't seem to be as perfectly precise as I first thought it was, but it's still better than any other game with such a comparable size.

(Quickly rewatching the Djenge Frett dialogue, I can't pick a single moment where the lip-sync is off, it's not as perfect as mocap that's for sure, but it's pretty damn precise).

It doesn't makes sense, Oxenfurt as the second "huge city". They are so close together(in game map scale). Maybe Oxenfurt will be part of Novigrad? And Vizima is certainly in the game, will need to dig it up from 60 or so previews tho.

Actually, Oxenfurt was confirmed to be in the game some time ago already. And it would make sense as Novigrad area will be one of the 3 bigger hubs, others being Skellige and No Man's Land.

I mean 2 big cities so close together which doesn't make sense. I don't doubt Oxenfurt is in the game but I think(hope in this case cos I wanna see Vizima also) it's part of Novigrad.
