Has hacking laptops been removed?

On my own save file I have about 80 hours of gameplay but then I stopped because I needed the space on my hard drive. Today I've visited my brother who recently also bought the game and he already has about 30 hours of play time.

From what I remember when I've played the game myself there were a lot of laptops which you where able to hack. But on my brothers playthrough this doesn't seem to be possible anymore. Did the devs remove this feature? Also my brother told me that he rarely is able to find hackable vending machines.

Nope, nothing have changed since day one
It's always the same computers and always the same access points or vending machines as far as I remember (played since day one and on every patch).

You can"t hack laptops if you have Berserk or Sandvistan cyberware equipped instead of the more common chip that can slot the hacking mods.
There is a few laptops that can"t be hacked for some reason but they are certainly not the majority.
