Thanks Tommy, I will try that. I suspect backing up the complete folder is safest. I would like to use the 3.2 UI though (

only witcher2.exe is replaced and a .DZIP file is added in the Cooked PC folder, i did not test but I believe the UI changes will work with the backed up 3.1 witcher2.exe

Thanks and I am about halfway through copying the complete folder. Then I will apply 3.2 through the auto update and see what happens - fingers crossed!

OK! Launcher detected 3.2, downloaded and applied and all is fine. Must be something in patching process. Can register from launcher with existing login.
