Have You Tried Navigating the World with the HUD Completely Disabled?
This might sound crazy but seriously, has anyone attempted this? I've done it a couple of times, and sure enough, I got lost within seconds. For instance, I've tried riding Roach on the main Skellige island without the HUD, and while it was fun, I just couldn't do it.
Really gives you a tangible feel of the scale of the game. I don't think I will ever be able to play without the mini-map no matter how many times I go through the game.
