Having trouble loading game...

It's not that it won't load, but more that my computer sends me a "you need to be an administrator to do this" message every time I try to play. I have Windows 7, and it's my laptop with no other accounts. Obviously, I'm an admin on my own computer, but does anyone know how to fix this problem?

This is a known problem with running The Witcher on Windows 7, and there are plenty of solutions over in the In-game Tech section. Try reading the FAQ about the Enhanced Edition and the Windows 7 Issues and Solutions threads.The main thing is to make sure that you have the latest patch and that you've removed TAGES; you can read all about it in that FAQ I referred you to.

Well, i figured I would just finish it out in this thread, so here goes: I downloaded both 1.4 and 1.5, and am now getting an "Error! System Requirements not met!" message. Not sure of what to do for this one, and I keep reading through the FAQ and Issues and Solutions threads.

DOES your system meet system requirements?I know there's a way to force the game to start even if it doesn't meet requirements, though it will be somewhat slow. I read about it in the Tech section of the forum, so it sounds like you're browsing in the right place.

Keep reading the FAQ towards the bottom you should see what you need to do but it has to be done exactly right or it won`t work. First go to your witcher/system folder and locate the witcher exe and right click and send to desktop and apply the fix found in the FAQ to the new shortcut you just made.
