I'd actually like something like that. The X-Ray vision could add a lot to the game in terms of combat strategy or even choosing not to fight at all. If I could tell that a guy has a full body conversion and is carrying powerful weapons I would think twice about getting into a fight.Basically everything but within reason, as much as the technology would allow..
Yeah, basically this.. Something similar to what Terminator movies had.. (though not exactly) Something between x-ray vision and terminator vision.. Where you can scan for weapons, cybernetics, weaknesses and analyze the information you receive..
Giving you information about the enemy and their weapons etc.. Similar to the detective vision of Batman games, but with a bit more realistic..
I would want this to be a very expensive cybernetic feature though. Something like that is very powerful/high-tech and makes a person very dangerous, that should be obvious in the game.
You already see targeted advertising on the internet today. It is entirely possible to research buying a new house and then see ads all over the internet telling you about cheap, affordable housing. If we had internet connected HUD in real life I can easily imagine very Minority Report style marketing just walking around town.

I don't even remember but I have to say this, I absolutely loved Equilibrium. XD Oh yeah, HUDs in Cyberpunk! That's what the topic is! I'd quite like some balistic goggles that give me feed back on enemies. Whenever I have goggles as an option in games I always wear them because eyes are hella important when fighting. ^^ Also I think some of the goggles just make my character look cooler.Bring it, Sense Offenders.
