Does wearing heavy armor actually make your character move more slowly in the game as opposed to wearing light armor? Is dodging and rolling actually affected by this?

Its barely noticeable but it is there like starting to walk in deep water but not as bad. the really bad thing is the stam regen, slooooowwwwww. And mobs still swat hard on DM so just stick to medium or full light, you will take the same exact damage, at least from what I have seen heavy provides NO better protection. Maybe its the wonky battle damage calculations that cant decide if its working or not.

I am playing on Death March. I am honestly just thinking about it because the heavy armor looks awesome. As long as it doesn't slow down my rolls or dodges or running, I am fine with it.

Anyone know for sure?

Yeah, it should slow down your dodges and distances of those dodges. I noticed it when comparing light armor and medium armor. It would be even more obvious with light and heavy comparison. I actually prefer the distance you can get from a quick dodge when wearing light armor. Medium armor is slower, and the distance isn't enough sometimes so you still get hit.

No heavy armor doesn't bog you down only makes the yellow stamina meter regenerate slower, and if you want a lore friendly heavy set go for Ursine. It's got metal padding on it in certain places but most of it is light chain-metal robe.
