Help needed with 'The Source' quest..

Help needed with 'The Source' quest..

Heya, I have just started playing through this game again.. been ages since I played last. I have gotten to the quest 'the source' where you have to place the magic sensors around vizima.. I have placed 2 of them and went to place the third and its gone from my inventory... I have been back to Triss, no avail.. I am totally at a loss as to what to do.. I dont know if this is bugged, or if I somehow 'lost' the third one or what.. maybe I am just being dumb I really dont know.. My only other option is to start again from a save file, unfortunatly the nearst one to it is quite a way back :S Please help/advise.. Any info on this would be great..Many thanks in advance.

The quest-items are in a bar with scroll arrows.
Are you sure the last magic sensor didn't get hidden by the scroll ?
That happens to my from time to time...

People lose items in their quest inventory a lot, by forgetting that it scrolls.

But if they're really gone, another option is to add one back to your inventory, using the Saved Game Editor. That should work fine, but if it doesn't, I can make you a tiny mod that would give you a sensor.

Thank you for the replies.. Yes it seems it really has gone :S I am now trying the method above.. Will let you know how it works out..
