HELP!!WITCHER 2 -CANNOT SELECT NATIVE RESOLUTION after installing patch 1.3

hey witcher fans i am having a problem with the screen resolution IN WITCHER 2!! native resolution of my monitor is 1920x1080(it was fine with patch 1.2) but now after applying new patch 1.3 max resolution i can select is 1024x768! WTF?? its a RETAIL COPY !!! some one(bluebeetle) on this forum suggested the following ...............................................

you could go on installing Patch 1.3 and then experiment with resolutions by editing the "user.ini" file in /My Document/Witcher 2/Config/ folder, under the following section:

[Viewport]
Height=xxx
Width=xxx

Set it based on the supported res displayed in your video card display setting, with the following sample guideline:
If the FoV on my monitor looks truncated at 1024x768, I'd try to customize it to 1024x740. This seems to fix the issue, so the strings in my user.ini file under [Viewport] section will look like this:

[Viewport]
Height=740
Width=1024

EDIT ADDENDUM:
The trade-off of this method, however, is that you have to set the Fullscreen flag in user.ini file to "0", because the game doesn't support custom resolutions view.

now i took a look at my user.ini file and there is no line/commandline called "height" or "width" and there is nothing called "[viewport]" in the file!! but everything else seems to be there like textures etc now do i need to type the commands into the file (viewport followed by height and width)or something is wrong and these commands were suppossed to exist ?

@Anarki_Hunter man ur creepy!!! how the heck did u think u might even find me on Raptr and i installed Raptr on my system when i was in the final stages of completing witcher 2 hence it logged the final 8 hrs of my first play through!!! and that post on battlefield 3 Raptr give-away wasn't a joke!! i really did get a free copy of witcher 2 from NAMCO BANDAI!!

and u are very creepy searching me like that!!! please dont do that and thanks for the help regarding my post i will post back here if it works or not

may i ask WHAT?? what was there in my post that seemed to offend or irritate u ? if it was my inability to change the settings, then thats exactly why i am here, asking for help on solving the problem. please be clear!!!

@Anarki_Hunter thanks followed ur instructions it worked, game runs perfectly in 1080p !! but in the launcher i still cannot select my native resolution !! any idea why the different resolutions aren't appearing for selection ?? a possible bug ?
