Agreed... many game crashes/lag/corrupted graphics/etc. are caused by Vista. To threadstarter: get WinXP and slipstream it with sp2. That should minimise most problems folks get right after installing sp2 on a fresh o/s, so your Event Viewer(system and application tabs) should not have any error messages.

If this game was not threaded for a multi cpu machine, a 2.2 ghz CPU will run as a single 2.2.............which as you can image..........isn't all that wonderful =(Also keep in mind that even an application coded for a dual core still will not take full advantage of a quad core.

i had this same problem (comp specs in sig) was originaly running windows Vista (it came pre-installed) and junked it and went out and bought windows XP instead. the real headache was I had to download all my chipset, sound and motherboard drivers befor-hand and manualy install them because windows XP didnt auto install them. now THAT was a headache. but after installing windows XP and turning off the EAX sound (in-game) the game runs great.
