Hi! I have a dire need with this game.

+
Excuse me if this is the wrong place and and excuse me if this is had been mentioned already.

I just started up the Witcher after not playing it for months. I'm enjoying it a lot! My major gripe is the HUD Map. Its too bothersome, I can't help but keep looking at it and miss out on the game big time.

My suggestion is do like God of War and Horizon Zero Dawn, make the map 'dynamic'. The Dynamic map in God of War and Horizon were flawless, I could simply hit the touch pad to make sure I was in the right direction and it would disappear in 10-15 seconds.

Witcher 3 really needs this. Even with the 'Path to Objectives on Minimap' off, I can't help but notice the map in my preferal vision. Some people will say remove it all together, which I've tried, but I don't have the patience to learn such big maps. But with it off, it was great to witness the game in it's true glory.

Is it too late for CD Projekt Red to create such a feature? How hard would it be to do so?

Thanks for any feedback!

Moved thread to a more appropriate subforum.

Even Blood and Wine has been out for over two years at this point, so entirely new features like a dynamic map being added is not likely to happen anymore.

I don't think CDPR is doing any further development on the game, I suspect they are very busy with their next project Cyberpunk 2077.
I haven't started using mods in the game, but having said that there's something on Nexus that appears to be a fit for your needs: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1820
I make no claims about this mod, so caveat emptor.

Edit: Here's another mod called Friendly HUD that may be just the ticket: https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/365/?

Also, on PC, I believe the option Show/Hide HUD is bound to the 'Insert' key, so you can switch it off and on at will.
