PCs do much more things much more efficiently than any console will ever dream of (and gaming is included).
Console are cheap and specialized. PC may be cheap, but as soon as you pay the right price (or wait a bit for the prices to drop), they stomp on any console just because of raw calculating power (and no need to have a $4k rig). Just check the facts.
Consoles are not state of the art hardware. They've never been. They never will. Just because they are too cheap.

Why do we even bother replying to him any more? I'm honestly at a loss here. Present him with facts, he will present rumours and speculations. Tell him that PCs are an everevolving machine capable of replacing any of its components at any given time, provided you have the money for it, and he will still believe that somehow the static nature of consoles will be better than PCs. The average PC? Sure, I agree with you on that. No doubt that at the moment of their respective release dates, the PS4 and 720 will probably be better than average PC configurations. But better overall than the PC at its maximum potential? Not a snowball chance in hell.

I find people like Pris interesting, within reason. Not his arguments which, as you point out, really aren't. Just the whole "one product is deserving of loyalty beyond what it does for me" approach.

You'd have to define personal attack as "including anything relating to a person that interests you", then. I'm interested in why Wisdom is so determined about his vehicle organization and his need for open-world, why various persons here are so committed to multiplayer/no multiplayer beyond it's gameplay and so on. Difficult to have an honest discussion of an issue without exploring the motives for the stances on that issue.

Really? Using truth and facts counts as an attack? Look, I got nothing against the guy personally, he just seems rather in love with console companies and the hardware they produce. That's not really an attack, so much as an observation. But I'll stop here, I've no wish to start some kind of flamewar or anything.
But anyhoo, to try and bring some semblance of on-topic discussion, is there a known price for the PS4? Or is it just something placed there until they actually reveal it more? I expect more news about it on E3. Since it's not much about games anymore as it is about promoting specific brands.
