What about:
1. downgraded shadows in cutscenes
2. Terrible pop ins.
3. Less numbers of NPCs (Novigrad and Oxenfurt looks like a ghost towns now).
All that problems come with 1.03 patch on PS4 (Everything was great on 1.02 version).
1. Cutscenes could have a difference I admit, I was tanking about gameplay though
2. pop in is exactly the same. Shadow and objects appear at the same time.
That bridge is perfectly there on my PS4... and it never pops even with horse at full speed. Tested numerous times after I saw that vid. Dont know what happened on that video for that guy.
3. The issue with NPCs in Novigrad is obviously a bug not a gfx downgrade... there are times when in novigrad there are 40 NPCs at the same time on my screen and other s when there are 2 or 3... the framerate doesnt perform differently. Also the NPC issue was there at 1.01 and 1.02 notes stated that a bug that was in 1.01 for low number of NPCs was corrected. Perhaps with 1.03 the NPC spawn got messed up. In any case this isnt gfx downgrade at all. It's a glitch.
btw Oxenfurt is never a Ghost town to me. It is always full of people. Novigrad as I said some times is a ghost town some times it is full of people.
All in all, in terms of in game gfx there is no difference with 1.02. I tested quite a lot of my 1.02 footage and compared it with 1.03 and found nothing of all these downgrades people claim.
That doesnt mean that I dont want things fixed, like the NPC glitch or the pop in improved, and ofcourse the framerate a lot improved. Its just that people behave as if 1.02 had "omg amazing gfx" and now 1.03 its "shitte".
It aint true and most probably the reason people complain is some form of placebo coupled with the huge variety of weather and daytime lighting effects that can make the game look washed out at moments.
