I'm pretty into the game so far, it's mostly answered my personal hype, and been the game I was hoping it would be. I love, it, thank you CDPR. I'm a little disappointed in the relationship stuff though. I think most of us were under the impression there would be far more than four choices. Not to mention, there are so few options for LGBT choices for men. My disappointment came when a certain bartender who is amazing, is just there but like, that's about it. No conversations aside from the one, no relationship stuff. Hoping CDPR in the future maybe opens stuff up a bit. I'm a bisexual man in real life, and the goal of CDPR was to let us immerse into this world right? Well, help us do that, give us more options, please.
So screenshot included but no details because of spoilers and stuff... but this is who I want CDPR. And it's an immersive RPG, right? I feel like the overlooked choice here was a big miss.
I definitely agree with you. If you want to play as a straight female V, there is only one option. I remember before release reading some posts by CDPR that romance was going to be a big part of the game and so I thought there would be a bunch of options and I was so excited to get involved with the characters. I'm enjoying the story and overall gameplay, but I can't help but feel let down. I really truly hope CDPR will continue to work on the romances and add more as free DLC in the future, as the game is quite large for female V to only find one guy to romance...
Yup, glanced at the romance options list and definitely disappointed. Not sure if they're better in game, but none of them look appealing to me. The only one that looks interesting (in terms of personality at least) isnt even an option for female V. Bah...
Yet another reason to delay buying for a few months if not longer. Maybe the goty edition with a hundred mods will make it better.
Yeah, more options here would greatly benefit the game. I'm playing a straight male Corpo V, but I'm still not happy with the options I have. Also, none of the women really look very youthful or even attractive to me. Breast size is also too small. I want a busty Japanese waifu, please.

I feel like, not matter the gender or sexuality of your V, that the romance options are just disappointing all around. I was definitely thinking we would get more than what we got. But maybe another time? Also, I know that CDPR can make more attractive and interesting looking characters for us to romance. I was personally interested in Evelyn Parker when I first saw her, but realized she is not romance-able at all, unfortunate. But I am enjoying other aspects of this game
It's a role-playing game with romance as a feature. I've simply expressed my personal dissatisfaction with this element of the game. So what's your problem?

A person states that they feel that they are not represented in a game that has already had criticisms for its handling of LGBT people and your addition to the discussion is that it doesn't cater to your fetish of Japanese women with big tits. One is a valid issue that relates to a whole group of people, the other is your fetish. No game company can account for that nor should it be expected to.

Japanese girls with big breasts? Except my grievance is that there are no or at least very few male LGBT relationship opportunities. Like someone else said not that it's at all relevant, I am also married. This is not some plea for some RPG fantasy. This is absolutely a justifiable suggestion for a game that has this feature, and we'd like it expanded. I mean there's what? A single male homosexual / bisexual relationship option? My sexuality is not a fetish, it's my sexuality. I'm not asking to spank Mateo with a riding crop and asking that he call me pet names while I do so.
This is a feature in the game that we are hoping gets expanded to other characters that we found more interesting than the one character I think, that is currently available. CDPR's big thing was full immersion. It was "come live in this world as you would if you were there." Well, that's great, that is why some of us found such appeal to it in addition to other gameplay features and the story we wanted to dive into. This was one of their big selling points; live in Night City, explore it, meet people, develop relationships with them, it's a living breathing city and you have freedom and choice. Our suggestions/criticism is simply that in a world full of interesting characters why can we only interact on a real level with a minuscule percentage of them? My post is literally the polar opposite of "can we get more Japanese girls with big breasts?" It's an RPG. We are not asking for fetishes or fantasies, we are asking that they expand the relationship feature to include characters that are actually interesting. Like as pushed, as if we were really there, living and interacting with the city.

This is exactly what I was talking about. I agree with you Eden, It's not about anything short of lack of choice for an existing feature. And I also coincidentally had the same thought you did, that aside from my Mateo love XD that Evelyn Parker I found super interesting too, and like Mateo there's nothing there.

Yes that is my exact point. I said that your post is a valid criticism, the person I was speaking to literally said he disliked the game because it didn't meet up with his specific fetish, which was literally it doesn't have Japanese women with big breasts.
The romance and sex in this game is incredibly useless. It doesn't have appeal to it at all. I completed Judy's romance and it felt more like I did a bunch of quests and got rewarded with one scene, not a relationship or a proper romance. All it feels like was "do this for sex" and it disappointed me. No more quests for Judy, no more calls or texts, no more sex. No dates. Heck I would LOVE to take my in game partner out for a bite to eat, to watch a movie or do stuff with them but no, once you've done their line of quests that's it.

Right? Like an actual post-game stretch or something. Like I don't know what happens in the end, don't want to yet, but if I suppose, if everything works out, I mean.. that would be cool, to have that while you stop crimes, play in the city.
I romanced Kerry and after the sex scene we had several love texts and also more content after the final mission. But I wish there was more. I'm not disappointed but I need more story content about Kerry and my V.

That's exactly how I feel at this point. I did the River romance and honestly I did enjoy it. For being the only male character female V can get with, I think they did a good job with him. But yeah now that I'm done the romance quest theres nothing. I thought maybe we would have been able to call our partners back to our apartment, go on dates with them, call them, or anything really.. but it just kinda stops. I was hoping that, for so little romance options, we would have at least been able to do stuff with them afterwards. I guess not.
