I don't know what game everyone else is talking about, but the camera control in TW1 was terrible. It swished around like it was under water; it lacked responsiveness and practically made me dizzy at times. It was just plain bad. I agree with op.
Well, then don't try to play Two Worlds 2 - everything wobbles and blurs and stretches and the toon only executes every other command.
That is terrible. Until you change the engine commands (helps for graphic issues, not unresponsiveness).~*~My problems with Witcher controls are completely different than any other's. I hope I'll not be screwed in TW2 anyway, because I can't really play with my left hand. Yes, I played ME and I kept shooting all the time when I wanted to move like I usually do, with my right hand. Unfortunately, it seems to be hip, to lock certain keys or mouse buttons for the player to map individually. So I'm hoping for a good gamepad support, I read that somewhere in the faq. Some games I can play nicely with controller
and keys, but then again some games don't allow that.Hardest thing for me when running is the stupid 'click middle mouse button to move camera'. Before my first Witcher playthrough, I had played a couple hunded hours Oblivion, where the mouse moved the camera without pressing any buttons and with my 'forwards' on the left mouse button, I could run smoothly through Cyrodiil back and forth without clicking on the ground and/or getting cramps in my fingers. Witcher running is very crampy in comparison (DA too). When you run with the mouse and get into a fight, of course he often does the exact opposite than you intend to, spins into the wrong direction, because the mouse becomes the sword and nothing you can do about it. That's why I'm grateful at least for the active pause and hope they didn't remove that! Because with it's aid and my love for the Witcher *g*, I now play Witcher FCR on insane, despite the limited use of my left hand. If you want something bad enough, I guess, you find a way. But I still get very mad every time I come across a game where the devs think they know best for everyone and don't let you choose your controls at all. I very much hope TW2 will
not be one of those games! Because everyone's needs are different. So I don't hope for the devs to know best, but for some freedom of choice for the player. Sometimes you wonder if game designers never played another game than their own or if they just feel the need to do things differently than everyone else, even if well-known solutions work perfectly. So much for a completely different point of view...
