having only 2 slots for grenades/heals/active cyberware seems really... limiting

just go the souls route and have a set number of slots that you can assign abilities/cyberware to

and for the love of god make throwing knives a craftable grenade type item where you unlock the spec from the dagger dealer perk(like how you unlock quickhack crafting from the intel tree) otherwise for the time being that perk is broken and has negative utility
 
Totally agree.

Something like this mock up template would make the usage of granade, med and cyber kit more engaging during the combat. Sometime I want to use a shock or poison granade, but in some situation I just want to throw a scan granade to find out where is the enemy without using Ping. The limited vanilla quick access slots make the combat for me paused again and again to switch between these items.
