Hotfix 1.05

+
with 1.04 i had found a way to limit the occurence of crashes while playing by activating ray tracing and locking at 45 FPS.

Without RTX + lock framerate i had every 10-15 minutes
With RTX + lock framerate a crash every 1-2 hours.

With 1.05 i have a crash every 15 minutes.

i loved this game but these crashes make the experience very difficult.
 
I had my save file set to "Meet with Jackie" on "The Pickup" quest. Thrilled to see Jackie was now on his motorcycle waiting!
I progressed the story further, and decided to not force Jackie to sit down at Dum Dum's request. We did our thing, and found what we came for. AAAAANNNNDD Jackie stood in the doorway, blocking my path out. I can't move him.

Stuck again. I will reload, and just loot the side room first THEN get the Flathead. But it's one more thing to look into.


EDIT: I reloaded, did basically the same steps to see if I could repeat the bug, but this time Jackie moved further out into the room. Couldn't replicate the issue.

Hotfix 1.05 is now live on PC, Xbox and PlayStation systems!

PC-specific
  • [AMD SMT] Optimized default core/thread utilization for 4-core and 6-core AMD Ryzen(tm) processors. 8-core, 12-core and 16-core processors remain unchanged and behaving as intended. This change was implemented in cooperation with AMD and based on tests on both sides indicating that performance improvement occurs only on CPUs with 6 cores and less.
  • Fixed an issue with the way Raw Input is collected.
  • Removed the use of AVX instruction set thus fixing crashes occurring at the end of the Prologue on processors not supporting AVX.
  • Removed debug console to prevent functions that could lead to crashes or blocked quests. This doesn't mean we don't want to support the modding community. Stay tuned for more info on that.
  • Ray traced reflections should no longer seem too bright in comparison to the environment.
  • Fixed an issue with Steam Overlay crash on game shutdown.
  • Removed the memory_pool_budgets.csv file. which was not connected with the final version of the game and had no influence on it (it was a leftover file used during the development to estimate memory usage. It had no effect on how much memory was actually allocated). Perceived performance increase after editing the file may have been related to restarting the game.
Console-specific
  • Improved image sharpness with Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain on.

CDPR - DUM DUM not showing in SECOND CONFLICT...PC/GOG for me but effecting all installs with 1.05.
Can you confirm if editing Save files and reverting back to 1.04 to make him appear will effect anything else related to this naughty game breaking NPC? Post on reddit confirms it works to get DUMDUM to appear, just wondered if we'd break anything else and it's best to leave that quest til fixed by you?

Find a beach with three respawning enemies groups and slaughter them over and over and over.....

Sounds like a very similar process except with gaining XP too? Instead of abusing a painting you're abusing a respawn and farming just like in the Cyclops process in Witcher 3 :D Gonna have to see if I can find what you're talking about.

Can you guys fix these bugs that:

(1)If your character walking under the sun, you see the shadow on the floor it looks like you are bald.
(2) Also any reflective objects you cant see your character via the mirror, you have to use specific mirrors.
(3) if your character is not holding any weapon, the way it walks is like a jerk.
 
Of course nice to see that CDPR works hard to rid all the bad things from the game, but dear Devs be aware that in the list of fixes you include also list of spoilers... :( These list is unseeingeable... :)
 
After 1.05 patch..XBOX SERIES X buggs quest.. second run after patch quest dont work riders on the storm= cant scan vehicle tracks. 2:cyberpsycho sighting the wasteland, cant scan the blood or any briefcase. 3 the hunt- cant scan the files, file cabinet.

Things that were possible before this patch that work now doesnt work. Maybe more other quest... i reset my cache... my save file is under 8mb
 
The video commercials everywhere are now mostly still images or extremely towned down animations.Is that a bug or a feature or am i the only one who has that?
 
i7 8700k, 16gb ram, RTX 2080 and game installed on SSD - FPS drops to 20-30 on the city. I`m really tired of that. I tried everything.
 
good job, I hope the teleportation police get fixed soon (maybe on 2021 patches), it broke the immersion so much and make the game so much less fun.

and also the vanishing NPC whenever I fire my weapon

and the vehicle physic (sometimes crashing the car/motor doesn't have any impact at all it sort of just stopped)

by the way by the looks on night city, isn't there gonna be like, you know, bunch of joytoy? for now I had only encounter 2 joytoy which is quite dissapointed :((
 
For those who think the problems are exclusively from CDPR, just watch this after 8:45 (or repeat from 8:45 about Ray Tracing...)

 
LOL. Okay, so tell me what's a good way to earn money without cheating? That's exactly what I google searched and the glitch popped up. Even doing the glitch abuse I am far from owning everything in the game and I have 48 hours played. You can pretend like you've never cheated or abused anything in a game but I wouldn't believe you if you told me you haven't. Wanna talk about cheating? My friend owned a GAME GENIE for NES, now that's what I call cheating :D But hey, if you have a million hours to spend trying to 100% this game go for it, it's gonna take a very, very long time to actually earn everything that you can to 100% the game...on a single path....

There's no need for cheats or exploits. Just wait until you are higher level. It becomes very, very easy to make the money to buy every vehicle once you are level 40+. You can easily make $30k - $50k every 10 minutes.

All you need to do is go between fast travel points where you know there are easy enemies to kill and sell all the loot. Skipping 24 hours between each travel makes them respawn. And higher level weapons sell for $500 to $3k each as well.
