Just get the game refunded and be done with it.
I read a lot about no mans sky and I really don't believe it was this bad and even if it was they did not make it worse with each patch released without even fixing anything and just breaking more stuff that was working before the patch.
I read some about no mans sky and to me it seems they did really well with the original release considering only 6 people were making it. Number of people doesn't always matter but mostly more people can get more done in less time.
For me even if they fix CP I won't come back to this game anytime soon because of it's way too long and boring forced segments the only other game I hated for doing something like this was WoW if you moved to a new server and had to do that stupid long intro to "learn" your chosen class.
That was such a pain in the ass even it only took like 15 minutes, this games intro is over an hour, plain ass stupid.
